    Grov sucks

Tobacco flavor my ass. I was so excited to try this brand. And absolutely nothing like copenhagen . ...don't let the reviews fool you I promise you not the slightest resemblance to American dip. Once again has a bergamot taste, suprise suprise right? And the smell reminds me of vineger. Next time I head to mass I will thank the Good Lord I only bought 1 can

Stick in the freezer and revisit it in a few months.

I find that when I buy one thing.......wanting it to be something else (e.g. buying Grov when what I want is Copenhagen).....I am not able to let the product I bought stand on its own.......Freeze and revisit the Grov,.......you may still not like it in a few months......but it is far more likely that you will not like it because of what it is.......instead of what it wasn't (a Copenhagen knockoff)

That said, I am quite certain Polluted already knows this.....I mention it simply for our newer members.

*pops in probably my 20th Grov Original Portion of the day*

      WHAT!!

Grov is awesome! I can't say I get a bergamot flavor at all in Grov, and I think the tobacco taste is spot on (it's fantastic with a cup of coffee).

I can imagine it's quite a difficult taste to like though, especially in the beginning. It's very powerful, very salty and deep. Kind of like a filterless cigarette of the snus world.

Follow Snus's advice though, put it in the freezer to revisit later. You would be surprised how many people like you have changed their minds after a while (myself included with a lot of products).

I've always found islay whiskey taste like cope myself. As stated pop it in the freezer and try again in a bit and you may like it then. Or put it on the snus and other tobacco exchange and get something different.

If you think Copenhagen tastes of tobacco then I would like to suggest that you don't know what plain tobacco tastes of! There's so much flavouring/spices/smoke/sweetness/salt in straight Copenhagen that I can't detect any of the base tobacco under it.

Grov on the other hand does taste of tobacco (well it tastes of tobacco that has been made in to snus) and has no bergamot in the recipe ... the original was supposed to have some geranium in the flavouring but if it's in the modern version it's very subtle. Grov has a more fermented flavour than Ettan and as such people liken it to the taste of dill pickles sometimes ... but all of that taste comes directly from the kinds of tobacco used and the process used to make it.

There is no snus that tastes like Copenhagen out there really ... it's a pointless exercise trying to find one because the processes that make the two kinds of smokeless tobacco are fundamentally different. If you really like Cope then ... get some cope!

When my taste buds are worn out, I switch to Grov op or Grov Stark to get my bearings, simple and tastie.

Lol you folks are insane, honestly I just heard it tasted like cope....but I went into it hoping for a mild tobacco flavor. I'm sorry but vinager is NOT tobacco. I rolled my own organic smokes for a while and grove has NOTHING related in terms of essence. I managed to finish the can, but as mentioned earlier I guess I should not had gone into it with expectations. All I know is that the smell was nothing positive, and the flavor could not have been more one dimensional and mediocre. Don't get me wrong the can in self is bad ass! It's masculine and makes me think HELL YA! Until I put its contents in my upper lip

Well ... at least you know you don't like it now! But it does taste of plain snus ... I can tell you that having made plenty of my own without any flavourings in it ... maybe you don't like snus?

Maybe your right !! I actually have not thought of that. But I love ettan isn't that a solid snus flavor (even though it smells like chocolate)

Ettan is unflavored...as in no extra flavors added. Very full of tobacco flavor however! I guess you like tobacco, just not Grov's somewhat acidic tobacco taste and smell.

I guess there is a team grov, team ettan kind of debate in the snus world. I don't know how because to me they are world's apart. Ettan was phenomenal my only complaint for the portions would maybe be that they are too chocolate smelling ? I imagine I would love the los based off people's description

I like Ettan, but at about a tin a month rate or it tastes too chocolaty......I'd leave the house with a tin of Grov in my pocket, but a tin of Ettan....(fuel to the fire)

What you may not like with Grov, Polluted, is the smoke taste. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there is quite a lot of smoke aroma in Grovsnus. That might come across as a bit "acidic" or strange tasting if you're not used to it.

Sadly... I don't taste the chocolate in Ettan. I was really disappointed because that was one reason I picked up a couple of cans. It's still good but not what I was hoping for.
