    Thanks for you support guys!

Today was the fourth day and it was by far the hardest of them all.
Cravings were just horrible today. I was really mean to everybody I talked to today. But they know I have nicotine withdrawals so they told me it was ok. My friends are happy about me quitting, that means ill have more money for the beer lol. But crap, just now I feel like snusing its just horrible how I want snus. I chewed so much chewing gum that my jaw hurts. My head hurts like hell. I'm can't concentrate on any shool work, I can only play video games and watch tv...

But I guess it's gonna get better! Thanks for your support guys, have a good night!

Well you sure had a better first 3 days than I did! Congrats! Your body is now nicotine free after about 3 days.

I didn't look at my limp or at my gums in the mirror today. I looked at them enough now, I don't wanna get paranoid again.

The cravings have came back again, it's getting hard. But I threw my snus in the toilet and flushed today. I want to stop myself from using it by any means necessary.
I'm really annoyed by everybody and my head hurts all the time, for how long is this supposed to last?

    Have a good night guys!
The irritability can last a week or two, it's just nicotine withdrawal, it passes, some get over it in a few days others a few weeks.

That's irritability from the drug withdrawal it will go away with time.... hopefully you can get over the nicotine addiction and don't get trapped with depression like I usually do... I have depression though for years and it gets worse with nicotine withdrawals.

quitting snus isn't that hard, quitting smoking is ten times worse.

Go cold turkey, that's the only way.

It's weird you got red lesions and patches, I never had any issues in about 3 years of using snus.

    Best of luck :-)

    second day is done!

    Second day without snus completed!
I didn't get alot of cravings today but my head hurts and I'm irritable. I'm also always hungry
My friends told me I looked pissed all day today lol

I didn't really notice until they told me. I'll try to be nicer even if I have withdrawals
    I don't wanna lose my friends! :P

I bring chewing gum (non nicotine gum) with me all the time it helps me with the oral fixation and makes me eat less.

    Good night everybody!

Do they sell Breathsavers mints by you? Comes in a roll of about 10 like Lifesavers do. Back when I quit smoking for almost a year (two separate times), I used to chomp the hell out of those all day for the first week or two. Probably 1.5 - 2 rolls a day. They're sugar-free and they help a lot with oral fixation issues.

Everything gets smoother after a week or two when the nicotine is completely flushed out of your system and forgotten. But, you'll still get weird, gigantic cravings out of nowhere for a long time. Just have to tell yourself: "Self, this isn't your first craving. You know this will pass just like the others if you just wait long enough. Find something else to think about for a minute."

Yeah I think we have that kind of thing here. For now, I've been chewing gum. Thanks for the idea.

Btw, I just took an appointment with my dentist on thursday. I need to stop worrying, I'm becoming mad. I watch pictures of erythroplakia and think I have it. I need to stop that omg.
I can't wait to see the dentist

Nicadict you have nothing to worry about. You can get those same problems by chewing a new flavor/brand of gum, sucking on a lollipop for an long time, small burns from food, and a number of other things. If you think you can quit then do so. If you don't think you can handle the stress of quitting but still want to try to scale it back. If you are using higher level nic snuses scale it down to 8mg then 6mg with something like general silver (do they still make that?) Then those dry portions from northerner. I can't imagine going from 16mg down to 8 then 6 then 3 or whatever those northerner portions are could be too difficult and then from there its just sacraficing 3mg of nicotine however often you snus instead of a much larger amount. If you can't do that then maybe you just need to realize this is part of your life now. I accepted that a long time ago, I will never quit and I am ok with that. I know each little bump i get will go away and I will be fine, I continue to go to my dentist and each time he tells me how much better my mouth is since I quit using dip and he has no idea I use snus. And each time I put in another portion I know I took a huge leap putting in that first snus order toward prolonging my life while still being addicted to nicotine.
