You might want to PM Sagedil with your deal. He seems to really enjoy the stuff. As a matter of fact, I'm a little suprised he hasn't chimed in yet in for the lone "I love it" post.

I tried the power for the first time this morning - maybe my tastebuds were still alseep, but I didn't really mind it.

I don't think it'll ever become one of my stable, but for an occasional morning shot - not bad.

Elixyr is most definately not a tasty snus, but it is functional. Toss in one or two while you shower, poop and shave or with your morning coffee. WHen you are awake, spit em out.

To me, they taste like stale cola, bitter caffeine, and dehydrated magic mushrooms... But I have definately used them when I need to wake up or stay up.

When I really need to get going in a hurry I shove one of these under each eyelid.

            BAM

Wide awake in no time. Plus that way the flavor doesn't really bother me.

LOL Steel Blue, I started to and just gave up. You can lead a horse to water, but....

And just to clarify. I think the stuff tastes like a**. Enjoy is NOT the word I would use. But as my helpers have finally chimed in to post, it is EXTREMELY functional.

I have new job, and have so much to learn, I am reading a stack of books right now. ALL of my off time is spent reading, and I am getting at best 6 hours sleep each night. So mornings are HARD. Alarm goes off, I struggle to my mini fridge and pop an Elyxr in, then I go crash on the bed again for 30 minutes. I then pop another one in as I get into the shower. By the time I'm ready to leave, I feel great!! And I drive a motorcycle to work. Kinda critical that I am fully awake and functional for that.

I have never found a tool to deal with my caffeine needs as efficient as the Elyxr. Strong nicotine, plus caffeine, in one handy little package. What's not to love!!

But it taste like crap, yes!! So what? I wait until I am happy at work, with a great cup of coffee in my hand, and pop a Retro White, or Lucky Strike White, or even a Knox in, and the world is good, and I am already ready to tackle the day.

But if you don't need what Elyxr can do for you. If the efficient caffeine delivery system isn't something that will add value to your life, please don't bother with it. But at least understand the role it pays. Caffine is extremely bitter. there is no way a snus like this could ever be made to taste good. It's not supposed to. There is other snus for that.

Rant was funny. And Im sorry that Elyxr was demeaned. I do enjoy the buzz admittedly and have one stuck in my mouth as I type. But it does taste pretty crappy. But then my Adderall taste like crap and I still have to pop those. (Justin is a narcoleptic and has to take all sorts of buzzy crap to not drop and sleep in the street and yes I have done that.)

I just discovered if i stick in altoid in my mouth as I use the stuff it is less crapptastic on my taste buds.

datadawg, I promise you this, if you use it long enough, you don't really notice the taste. Or rather, you become so accustomed to what it can do for you that you just associate the taste as part of the good stuff it is doing.

Kinda like when I was a meth head 20 years ago. Over time, I started to like the burn in my nose cause I associated that with how good the meth made me feel. Elyxr does me good, so the strange taste I just associate with feeling good

I hear you with the association thing. To me, one of the things I miss most from smoking was the feeling in your pipes as you inhaled the smoke. It's certianly not a good feeling... Kinda of burney... rough, heavy... but after doing it so much, you just miss it... It feels like an empty breath without it, like I'm missing something.

                      Scott674, absolutely!!

Why I want and have a cigarette every blue moon. In isolation, I love the physicality of smoking, the feeling of the smoke as it travels in and out. But in excess, the negative parts quickly hide any positive. Now that I snus, I can CHOOSE to have a cigarette when that is what I really want. I just never HAVE to have one.

I expect I will always smoke when I am in the mood. I just like it sometimes. I just happen to like snus all the rest of the time.

Yeah, I feel like I've finally hit that point. Previously the negatives were never enough. I'd lay in bed wheezing, cough up a lung in the morning, run like 10 ft and nearly die... Now, after using snus regularly and not smoking for nearly a month, I feel that... I have had 3 cigs exactly since I quit smoking, and with each one of them I didn't feel any need/desire to have another after. Previous to this, when quitting, the moment I slipped and had just 1 I was done for... The negatives outweigh the positives. YAY! I do feel like I may occasionally have one, just to have one... but at this point I don't feel like I'll need to go back regularly.

That is the magic of snus. Before, you quit the nicotine. Yeah, one slip. the nicotine addiction grabs you back. But now, you get all the nicotine you want, so a cigarette doesn't change anything, it becomes just a cigarette. So "cheating" now, has no affect.

So having a cigarette cause you want one now is a lot like having a hankering for a Big Mac. O do that maybe 3 -4 times a year. Just have to have one occasionally. But I don't worry walking into McDonalds that if I have one, I suddenly won't eat anything but McDonalds. LOL

The flip in perspective that snus gives you is remarkable. As I keep saying. For the first time ever. I can have a cigarette now when I want one, without having to have them when I need them. That's freedom.

Yeah, I still smoke a cigarette once a week or so with my morning coffee at Denny's. Nothing in the world can compare to cigarettes and coffee, not even snus. And it's just that feeling of the smoke burning your lungs that feels so good. It has to do with something psychologists call "classic conditioning", I think.

My energy portions will be here in a few days. I figured for about $2.00, it was worth the risk. I tend to work a lot of midnight AND day shifts, being a McDonald's swing-shift manager in college, so without caffeine and nicotine, I die. Also, I doubt anything can be worse than the Offroad Wintergreen Stark portions they sent me as a promo last time because they were about to expire. I opened the lid, and the smell almost knocked me over. But, after going through a few portions when I ran out of everything else, I actually came to enjoy it in a weird, morbid way, because the nicotine kick was so strong.

Anyone else think it's odd that V2 refers to their wintergreen as "American Wintergreen"? I often wonder if that's how Sweden perceives dip...

yeah for 2 bucks a can you really cannot go wrong. and really caffeine is the fault for the taste and really not the snus fault. Crumble vivarin someday and take a taste and you will find out there is no way to hide that taste.

mel16, I think at least you have the right attitude about it. And it really is Just remarkably affective And from a cost perspective??? $2 for 20+ pouches. Each one as effective or more so than a cup of coffee. How much do you pay per cup??? But don't expect it to taste like any other snus

I thought I would HATE the Offroad Wintergreen. I got some as a bonus as part of a private deal I did with someone here. But since I had it, I tried it, and it was actually not bad. Not a normal snus ever for me, but I have one every few days when I want something different.
