TRY General or NOT??? Help me decide!

Ok here is my dilemma. I quit smoking five weeks ago using Camel Mellow Snus. I know the RJR Snus is looked down upon here but I have used the Mellow, Frost and Mint Camel with great success and have not craved a cigarette for quite some time (two pack per day smoker before). NOW a friend calls and tells me a local shop has in a shipment of General Original Portion and I would like to try it BUT I am afraid if I do so the Camel will no longer satisfy me as far as nicotine If General were as widely available in stores I would not have this dilemma but I don't wanna risk getting hooked on General then the store no longer stocking it and trying to go back to Camel. What should I do??

Does the camel satisfy you? Are you looking to quit tobacco altogether and the camel is helping you not smoke and slowly you are using less and less camel?
If your overall goal is to stop using tobacco then it's a definite no. If you have just decided you don't want to smoke of course get into the world of actual swedish snus. Don't get hooked on something when you are trying to quit.

I LIKE the Camel. I wanted to quit cigarettes but have no desire to quit Snus. Im just afraid the General will dry up around here and then Camel might not satisfy Right now since i have only tried it and Skoal Snus I like the Camel really well.

Your logic is sound. Stick with the Camel until (if) it doesn't satisfy anymore and THEN try something else.

I'm always up for trying new things. If you like Camel, you should always like Camel. You may come to prefer General, but if you can't find it, you can go back to Camel.

Life is full of disappointment, especially in the snus world. I've lost more snus I like than I currently have available. Sucks, but I'm glad I had the lost snus when I did. Life goes on...

There is no reason you cannot snus both. General is making a big push to infiltrate the US market, and compete with the likes of Camel. Camel already has a significant market presence, and they are unlikely to fold up shop.

Just because you will develop a taste for General does not mean you will hate camel. You tastebuds will just recognize it for what it is - sweet.

I tried General Mint and LOVED it!! It was on sale for one buck per can and I bought six Now lets hope the stores keep it in stock! Turns out 4 local stores got it in this week.
