    snus is safer..?
Snus is safer, but It's a balancing act. Probably the ideal ph would be 7, but then you wouldn't get much nicotine. It needs to be alkali to release it. Regular snus ph is around 8.5. Stark snus is probably a bit over 9, but I don't know that for sure, and makla is about 11.

Honestly, I don't think most of us know the ins and outs of makla. This is primarily a Swedish snus forum, so that's where everyone's attention has been focused. You might find more on a web search if you look for people that have used it a long time. I'm not sure how you'd find that. Maybe there's some north African forums where it would show up. I may look around later out of interest. I don't have time right now, but the question interests me.

Swedish Match studies have indicated that strong snus is harder on gums than regular snus. I would expect makla to be even worse.

Eroded gums most likely. The amount would vary by the individual. Some people are rugged, and others delicate.

The ph is very high in makla, and that's bad for your gums. Stark snus is also, but the ph is lower than it is in makla.

I didnt know the tsna was lower than snus. I guess you learn something new everyday. From what i read on that thread its the ph levels that will tear up you gums. I personally have never used it though. Im not sure about cancer if the tsna level is as low as snus but im sure snus tastes alot better. I heard makla taste horrible.

from this link (http://www.snuson.com/forum/showthre...rous-than-snus) i found this:

the TSNA level in Makla tobacco is even lower than the swedish snus one, but makla has a sensibly higher content in nitrite, chromium, etc
    is it true..?

anyway is cancer by oral tobacco a real possibility...?

Makla does not go through the same process snus does. When snus is made it is heat treated to lower the TSNAs that cause cancer and makla is not. If you are looking for high nic i would go with Odens Extreme or Thunder ultra strong. They have they highest nic. My personal favorite is Odens Extreme 59! I love it!

I started with makla as well, but as all other mates here, I recomend you to try snus, you won´t be back to makla, it is definitely another world. Try Odens extra strong or Thunder Ultra strong and you´ll find a very good kick in your head with nicotine.

hola! soy italiano pero hablo espanol tambien (un poco ) espanol es el idioma que prefiero entre todos las lenguas!

I think the reason everyone is telling you about snus is 1) this is a snus forum! 2) you can get extra strong snus which is similar in strength to the strongest Makla and 3) Makla is really very bad for your gums indeed ... snus is much much more healthy if you can get it in Italy
    2) do you think they are all the same for nicotine content (maklas)....? anyway i ususally use it (makla) because i know it is the most powerful stuff in term of nic compared to any othter product...is it correct...?

    3) really? could it cause problems to my gums...? may i ask you why...? i hope nothing serious...
