Call Me a Dumb A**, but

I would like to know what Oliver Twist is and other products are? I do not want to buy them, if they do not have nicotine or are made from rodent end trails.

How would they compare to Roda and Knox los? General and Catch portions?

First off, Oliver Twist is not a snus. It's a tiny ball of hard tobacco that is used much as a portion is. Put it between cheek and gum, move it around if you like, chew on it every 15 minutes or so to release more flavor.

It has about the same amount of nicotine as many snus products. It can be unflavored or any number of flavors.

Many snusers, myself included, don't rely on it, but keep OT in the rotation for infrequent use. If you're concerned about any harm, it is worse for you (based on its TSNA count) than portion snus but nowhere near as bad as smoking cigarettes or -- arrgh -- chewing tobacco.

    Problem? It's too expensive now.

Thank you... It sounds like a form of tobacco that a co-worker of mine would get from his family from Jordan. It was pretty good stuff, gave my a nic. buzz everytime I tried it.

I've been wanting to try this too. Some people have found OT or another brand at local tobacco shops or even convenience stores, but I've never seen it around. Guess I'll have to remember to toss a couple tins in with my next snus order.

Exactly as T.B said. I dont buy them often, but the gas station right down the street sells all the different flavors, so I tend to have a tin incase I get the itch. I use maybe 2-3 pieces every week (if that).

I couldn't handle oliver twist. It is way too strong for me and it made me really ill. Worth a try to satisfy curiosity, but make one of your gullible friends buy the stuff

I have about 7 tins in the freezer. Just a real nice change up occasionally. I probably average no more than 2 -3 pieces a month. But when the urge hits, it's real nice.

I think I am gonna go get me one now.

One Twist has the same amount nicotine as one cigarette. It is a tobacco that is used to stop smoking, so you will not get a "buzz", as some of you call it, of it. Anyway, the nicotine lasts in a couple of hour, so it's good to use when you stop smoking/snusing.

It releases 2mg in one hour which is equivalent of one or two cigs I think. I feel the amount is just right as it doesn't cloud the brain like a big dip does.

                    Check this out. http://www.oliver-twist.dk/Engelsk%2...nerelease.html

Original is fairly strong tasting, but tropical is just right for me. I love it! The tin is very small. It is more discrete than snus.

if I don't think I will finish a tin fairly quickly, I might put the portions in the corner of a baggie so I can seal it up and perhaps add a drop of water. I got this recommendation from Oliver Twist in Denmark.

I've had 2 flavours on the go for ages. I certainly don't do them often but you've just prompted me into trying another 'ARCTIC" one. They seem to me to have a bit more of a sledgehammer effect on the nicotine than snus does - even a big pris of Skruf Stark lös doesn't hit me in quite the same way. They are quite a bit more immediate than snus which is probably the key - and you can do them in the lower jaw without much need for spitting (although I've had to spit quite a bit when I've had them in for too long).

Basically they're just small pieces of chewing tobacco - but all apart from the originals are NOT fire cured which makes those types better for you. I like them but would never have them as a habit like I have snus. Never having had dip or redman or anything like that I can't compare the two - but it sounds like both would be too much for me.

Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!

I like these too, especially the Original and agree about the nic hit. The only problem with them for me is that they burn a hole in your lip faster than even Cope (at least the Original). I have to move them around quite a bit, and take care not to fall asleep with one of em in my lip. Good stuff and a great buzz otherwise. I find the flavored ones too weak for my taste though, nicotine wise.

I am curious where you say its like chewing tobacco. So if I put a pinch of Redman chewing tobacco in my lip, would it also work like oliver twist? Theres a lot more mass of Redman in a pouch than OT in a tin.
