I think that the only problem with Jakobssons classic is that it's not as good as the Gotlands yellow. The Gotlands yellow flavour (in portions) is almost exactly the same as the Jakobssons classic but more so and with a slightly stronger kick to it and I find it unbeatable even though I keep dabbling with all the others.

What is interesting is that they've launched Jakobssons nicotine free versions of both available from Northerner - now a nicotine free snus that tastes like a real one and keeps my habit happy when I don't really need the hit - that makes a lot of sense and I think they had that in mind when they launched the flavours - I've just ordered some to see what it does.

I'll let you know when they arrive.

I agree that they're very close, but the Classic tastes more like orange to me, while the Gul has more of a lemon/sharp citrus taste. I dig them both, and I'll be buying both of them. A different snus for different moods :^)

More power to you if you enjoy the nicotine free stuff. I tend to just chew a piece of gum if I am not in the mood for more nicotine. I cant justify that kind of money for a placebo.

Umm....isn't the whole point of snus the nicotine. I nver have understood the concept of a nicotine free version of snus, Sure I like the taste of snus, but only cause I know it is giving me my nicotine in a much more enjoyable fashion then anything else. But no nicotine and I can't really see the point.

Although I largely chainsnus, I occasionally will be without. I don't think of getting another one until I notice I need more nicotine. Never have I thought wow, I feel like I have enough nicotine but I really want a snus in my mouth, wish there was one with no nicotine. Never!!

Well - horses for courses and all that. And I do realise that some people use nicotine medicinally as well as recreationally sagedil - I just don't think I'm one of them.

There are 2 things in any addiction - the ritual and the chemical dependancy. It looks to me like most people here have an addictive personality, most of us are here because we gave up smoking, right? And snus is a much better thing than smoking I think we'd all agree - and we're all pretty clever for finding a less harmful way to get our vices, right?

For my personal part I think I'd like to take it on a stage further. I mean the ultimate goal of being a happy individual without the need for anything to stimulate you is not really to be sneered at, is it? I happen to think that Jakobssons have been really clever in introducing a flavour that gives a mint burn that feels remarkably similar to a nicotine burn in the icemint flavour especially. I'm not that confident that it will work but I'm willing to give it a try because I know that the body is quite a suggestible thing and you can con it in to thinking it's getting what it's not even if that is just the ritual part of snusing.

And no - snus is not only for the nicotine - it has opened my palate up to a wide and inventive range of flavours that there's no way I'd have tried if I hadn't started snusing.

Jeesh an hour to get flavor.. pfftt. I need instant gratification. I might not wait that long and give up on it.

I've tried the ice mint and ehh is better then other brands of ice mint i've tried, but really too subtle overall for me. I can appreciate the approach, however it doesn't do it for me.

As far as nic free snus. I could see if I really was making a concious effort to quit totally and needed to satiate my physical habit for a while. Like sagedil said I don't use snus for the fat lip. No nic why bother spending the money.

Some people drink decaffeinated coffee, too. Baffling! Non-alcoholic beer, however, I guess I can understand a bit more.
