Finished a can of skruf xtra stark portion today...now what to try?

As I keep myself away from the American dipping tobacco such as Copenhagen, I have been trying different snus.

One of my favorites so far has to be the strong stuff.
The Skruf xtra stark portions delivered a nice nicotine hit with a nice taste.
They were not overly smokey flavored and more on the mellow flavors.

Another one that I tried was the Oden's Extreme and was impressed with the nicotine punch it had.

From these choices, are there others that are similar that are recommended?

I guess my nicotine tolerance is pretty high as these were good but not overwhelming.

I have yet to try the Thunder Cool Mint, which from what I understand is a strong nic kick.

I have some recent Ettan portions but I don't feel any kind of nicotine hit but enjoy the super smooth quality.

Any suggestions on other brands to order?

    Thanks very much!

Coming from someone that dipped for quite a few years....I'm quite partial to the Thunder line. I can't speak what the thunder original los is like because ive only had one can and it was very very old, but thunder frosted is an all time favorite for me. My dip of choice was copenhagen long cut (gold lid). Cool orange has been quite tasty to me recently and I've found myself using odens extreme 59 portions a lot while im at work. I can tell you theres nothing that will mimic the taste of cope whether it be longcut/ lc straight/ cope snuff. Thunder RAW gave me quite a kick i remember i put 2 in at work and felt pretty good for awhile. and I know its a bit away but i LOVE the christmas edition snuses that come out around oct/nov. I managed to get a few older cans of this years xmas editions recently and I've pretty much blown through them all pretty quickly. very good stuff.

So from being a dipper for years, Thunder has been a close comparison in terms of the nicotine experience. I just remember buying Copenhagen wintergreen and it was very juicy and just placing a pinch in and a couple minutes later, I was definitely feeling an almost euphoric -life is good kind of feeling. I wish the Copenhagen was made to the health standards of Swedish snus, however, I get wigged out about the health warning labels found on Copenhagen and even the Swedish snus.

Last year Gotlands made a christmas snus i believe called julesnus. The flavor description was something like cinnamon, mulled wine, gingersnaps. And the description was pretty spot on.
And honestly on the rare occasion i go get a can of dip now Its gone in a few hours. It's so unsatisfying. I can keep a pris of thunder frosted in for longer than an entire can of copenhagen long cut would last.

            Thunder_Snus,
What are your top 3 favorites?
It sounds like Thunder makes a long cut?

Havent tried any long cut snus. Although I dipped form the time i was 14 til about 20. So ive been using snus a little under a year now. My favorite has to be thunder frosted los. Probably followed by ettan los.And i know as a dipper its against your instincts but dont neglect portions. In the dip world pouches(portions) are small shitty and weak but in snus they can be quite powerful. I enjoy jakobbsens melon thunder orange thunder raw and i have to say now that its gone i certainly love my thunder chocomint. Skruf is something ive just had the pleasure of trying. It's quite good especially the xtra strong portions. Skruf is pretty natural and not too complex in taste and ive been enjoying it so far. I wasnt really into fruity dip. I'd occasionally have a can of skoal apple or berry. I can't comment on any wintergreen snuses because i hate wintergreen weather it be snus or dip form so my opinion will be quite biased. Go with your instincts. Does the product sound/look good? Make sure you only get a few cans of certain things until you're sure you like it or you'll be like me and get stuck with 20 cans of thunder coola sitting in your freezer for a year.

How could I have forgotten Goteborgs Prima Fint!!!! I dont really have a top 3 for you but those are all things that I currently enjoy. Thunder Frosted is definitely top of the list but from there its hard to say what i like after it. Just depends on the day and the mood i guess.

And just to add onto that....i got 3 nearly expired rolls from northerner for quite and deal and it was nothing but offroad original and phantom products and they all made me want to vomit (the offroad original los actually did make me vomit) I do like offroad frosted but anything else by them im not a fan of and that goes for all phantom products too. Basically if you're buying cheap snus and its not offroad frosted and its not thunder anything...you probably wont like it. But i think there are quite a few people on here that enjoy the phantom line.

Maybe try the Skruf Stark lös. The Xtra stark lös was my favourite until they discontinued it. It got me off the smokes no problem. Also, order in a can of anything that looks appealing to you. You may find something that you really like. I can't recommend a portion for you other than Thunder Frosted which is my favourite flavoured portion. I'm still looking for a good "plain" portion. Good luck.

I was going to say, for someone who is coming from dip, I would think los would be the way to go considering that's what most of you dippers or ex dippers are used to. As for myself, I didn't give dip a serious try until after I started snusing. As I do portions, for my brief foray into dipping I went to pouches. A few friends of mine had dip coupons they didn't want to use, so I took them. Needless to say, I figured out that dip wasn't my thing. To each their own I guess...

I tried some Ettan lös and waited for some kind nicotine jolt but never got it.
It was a pretty good size pris. So I am guessing the Thunder lös delivers more of a nicotine punch.

I definitely like the Thunder Frosted portions!

I had seen that Thunder made long cut and was thinking is this the best of both worlds?

A less toxic dip but of better quality and nicotine content?

I would imagine the long cut is easier to work with in terms of placement.

I honestly couldn't tell you what the long cut is like. Putting snus in the bottom lip just seems like something very foreign to me even though i packed my bottom lip for roughly 6 years.

A big reason a lot of former dippers wont try portions is because in the dip world pouches are really weak. They are small compared to the size of a pinch you'd put in and they run out of flavor quickly. I remember getting a can of skoal citrus pouches instead of long cut at a gas station, and I proceeded to go through the whole can in a few mere hours without having my cravings satisfied. That included putting 3 or 4 in at the same time. This logic obviously gets carried over to snus despite some portions being QUITE strong.

So for my next order, I have to choose wisely as shipping is so expensive.

                              Skruf xtra stark portion

                              Thunder raw portion

                              Oden's Extreme portion

Thunder long cut?....similar in texture to skoal or dip?

                              Any suggestions?

I find that unfortunately the stronger snus is what satisfies.
The 8 mg portions, I find myself not feeling it.
I wish this wasn't the case.
