    Grov Review

I recieved my first can yesterday along with my icetool. HURRAY!!

Well at first the grov tasted awful. Then i realized it was because i used Extra Virgin Olive Oil on my icetool as lube and the flavor was ruining my snus. So i washed the icetool and used just plain vegetable oil. Its tasteless then tried again.

I was still disappointed though. I was expecting good salty tobacco taste. I didnt taste any of that. It was just a full tobacco flavor with no salt. Now the flavor isnt horrible but i was expecting something else than what I got.

So for now Grov is going to the back of the fridge for now for a revisit later.

Guess im going back to my Gotlands Yellow Los.

You're definitely not alone. I think, that Grov is terribly overrated. Im happy that I already found my pure-tobacco-heaven in Ettan Lös. Grovsnus is something I'd revisit only if several other brands would be discontinued. But Grov is definitely worth a try and I also totally understand everyone who likes Grov. It's not a bad snus at all!

    Cheers!

Eh I like it. It is a nice late night, not too strong snus for when I'm just trying to unwind.

I like the Los at times. I find it to be pretty weak myself but there are times where that works out.

From my observations: you are either an Ettan or a Grov man. If you don't like Grov, go for Ettan and you will love it, and vice versa.

I love both ettan and grov.

But I mostly stick with grov becouse I like the texture better.

I think Grov is over-rated snus. Taste is pretty boring salty-tobacco. Almost as over-rated as Ettan.

Grov is first rate, very tastey. Nearest taste to Copenhagen dip I have found so far.

I used Copenhagen Snuff for years and to me Grov is nowhere near that.

Ive been trying to find a snus that has the saltiness of Cope and have yet to discover one.

However I have just been using Gotlands Gul and love it. I have had the same 2 cans for two months while trying others out and this stuff is the freshest snus ive had. Its so moist and even after two months in the fridge the juices still run out on my fingers when i bake a pris.

I gave the Grov away to a buddy of mine and have just been using Gotands. Doubt ill find anything better than it.

Well I just got this can of Grov from a buddy of mine (hey, he is the author of this thread!) and I have to say that I love it! I have always been a fan of tobacco taste and this delivers. By the other posts, it makes me want to try Ettan just to see. I'm more of a sterk man myself (former smoker) but the Grov just had a good steady flow of flavor and my nic hit seemed to be just as good as my portions of N&J. I know it was actually more product because I used a pris master but still. I really love salty/tobacco taste but my portions give me that all day long and my lips seem to get wrinkled because of the saltiness I guess. The flavor I get from the Grov does me just fine even though its not as salty.

Grov is the only REAL snus out there.

Grov is not my favorite snus but I still think its very good. I have given up using the pris master after hand baking with the Grov I found that it last a whole lot longer and I get more flavor out of the pris. Right now Grov is saving me from overdosing on Triumph until my order gets here.... fiending for a Nick and Johnny West right now.... mmmmm

I like Grov too, but I admit it's more sweet than salty. It honestly tastes like green apple to me - real apple, not fake apple - with a pinch of salt.

Very interesting to read everyone's favorites and opinions. Grov has been the most consistent for me, but its only been 2 months. I like it a lot, and get nothing close to apples from it. Just pure, salty tobacco goodness. I'm starting to think my palette has taken a severe beating from 16 years of cigarettes... people talk about tasting the craziest things. I guess I'm missing out! But back to Grov... wish i had some now.
