Does it have nicotine or will I have to come down on my nicotine fix before trying Jakobsson's?

I've been using the classic a lot lately. Besides loving the flavor I really like the fact that there is no liquid smoke added. There are other brands I enjoy but I get a reaction to the smoke additive after using them too much; problems clearing my throat and soreness. I also like the fact that the snus are drier than most regular portions but the bag material doesn't irritate my gums like some white portions. I remember you saying that the other Gotlandssnus brands had more nicotine than other portions but with a lower PH. Is this also so with Jakobssons?

I got to say i dig the portion material used by Gotlands. I have a roll of both Gul and Jakobsson's classic in my freezer, both seem to use the same portion material which seems unique to Gotlands, it's very smooth (especially compared to Swedish match White, or Skruf's originals both which feel a bit coarse...

I find the Ice Fruit to be simply awful. I'm actually not looking forward to finishing the can.

I haven't tried the classic but I occasionally like the GOOD flavored snus's.

I'm not a mint fan, but enough people spoke well of the Ice Fruit that I risked ordering a roll. Much to my surprise, I really liked it! It doesn't overwhelm you with mint at all and doesn't taste artificial. In fact, I have a portion of Ice Fruit in my mouth now! The Jakobsson's Ice Fruit is now in my regular rotation.

I was so impressed with the quality of Gottlandsnus that I ordered and just received a roll of the Gottlandsnus Yellow Portion to try. It's chilling as we speak. And good for Gottland from telling the EU to drop dead!

Anyone on the edge about trying the Ice Fruit, buy a can...it's worth the risk.

I like the GOOD flavored snus's too, but I politely disagree about Ice-Fruit. I don't think it's worth the risk. There are too many other good snus's, flavored or otherwise. Sorry... just my $.02

I also wouldnt buy the stuff again, however I think that every snus is worth trying at least once. I learned long ago never to gauge my opinions about a particular snus based on someone elses opinions.

If I never tried the things that others dislike, I would nave never ordered my now favorite brands.

The jakobssons is great snus. The classic is quite good in it's own unique way. The Icefruit is just, well, chew some gum right after you brush your teeth... If you like the sensation you get then icefruit may be your bag. For me, not so much.

I agree 100%. Snus is cheap enough that if you end up not liking something, you're not out much money. I found a product from V2 that I can actually use, by taking a chance. I hate their portion snus', but I tried some Phantom lös due to Xob's evangelizing. It's no favorite, but I don't find it repulsive like I do their portions. Same thing with Level. I thought the portions were unusable, but I tried the lös since it was recommended by another member. I really liked it, and now I'm a little bummed about not being able to get it any more.

For $2-$4 all snus is worth a shot, especially from a company that knows what they're doing ;^)

The (Jakobssons) classic is quite good in it's own unique way. The Icefruit is just, well...

I love the icefruit and the classic.. the icefruit is good after a meal, and I could see classic as a good everyday snus. some people didn't like icefruit but I did.

That's what makes this forum fun and valuable....everyone's taste is different. A lot of people like OffRoad including some on SnusOn. Me personally, I tried 5 different flavors: one made me sick, the other 4 were absolutely terrible.....to MY taste-buds. I ended up throwing out much more OffRoad than I used. That's why I affectionately refer to it as "RoadKill" . But the people who love it, I'm happy for. We just have different tastes.

When I write my Snus Reviews on my blog, I may be reviewing something like the Ice Fruit based on forum or other feedback, but I will not WRITE a review without buying usually a can (the Ice Fruit roll was an exception) and tasting it for myself. So the reviews are true....to MY tastes.

That's why I only bought a can of the General Sterk. What I'm hearing is so different than the product description, I'm not going to review it until I taste it. I'm actually pissed I wrote an article on it when it was announced: I was just excited that General was making a strong white portion. AND THEN I found out that the General Onyx IS a White Portion Stark! I have a phone conference with them later this week and one of my first agenda items is Why isn't the container labeled that way and WHY have they not marketed it that way?

If I had placed my last order just 3 days earlier, I'd have ordered a roll of Sterk (which if what people are saying is true for my taste-buds, would have REALLY pissed me off) and no Onyx.

Instead, I ordered a roll of Onyx because I've tried it and only 1 can of Sterk for review purposes. I hope I like the Sterk too and I might because based on this forum, I know what NOT to expect and what TO expect....something completely different than Swedish Match's product description. Otherwise, it would have been like biting into an apple thinking it was peach. My expectations were wrong.

Whatever Swedish snus you like: ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!

Which Nick and Johnny are you talking about: regular, stark or West. I like the Stark and was not going to try the West because the ad copy made it sound like it was the same thing in a fancy box with only 20gr instead of 24gr. I'm reading here that the taste of the West is different in a positive way, so now I'm going to give that a shot too.
