    Snus Tins Question

I've been getting along fine so far with just the plastic containers that snus comes in. I have seen several metal snus cans online, selling for simply ghastly prices. I would probably not buy one, just because of how much it costs. But it made me wonder, because there has to be a market of some type for these things.

What is the difference between these three tins? Is the exorbitant price justified by something aside from aesthetics?

    General Bulletproof v2
Icetool Aluminium Box for portion snus – Black
Icetool Slim-box for portion snus, black

    Thanks!

The General tin is the weakest of the bunch. It's chunky, and doesn't seal as well. The IceTool tins are nice, but not essential. If you want a nice tin, they work great. If you want a nice budget tin, get Gotland Grå. They have the best plastic tins in the business, and the snus is good too.

Great. Out of curiosity, which would you say is better - the icetool normal sized box, or the mini? Are they comparable to normal sized portion tins, or mini sized portion tins?

I have a mini without the catch lid. I like that size as it's light, and fits well in the pocket. It's a bit smaller than the one with the catch lid, but I haven't seen them side by side to compare. I think there's a thread around here that shows them side by side. I'll try to find it.

        Edit:
I can't find a direct comparison, but this thread has some good pictures, and a drawing of the thickness differences...

The Cuban tobacco snus like Montecristo or Romeo y Julieta are packed in metal tins. Rather nice, with rubber coating on the outside.
