Anyone tried Red Man 'dip' yet?

Pretty new product. I am out of snus until the first of the month when I get some money so I am back on dip rather than smoking cigs. I got a free can of this at the tobacco store and it is a really good flavor. Not too strong of a 'leathery' flavor of Cope, nor too much fermentation. A nice clean taste. Call me crazy but there are hints of Ettan in it (or maybe its my craving of snus and getting fine cut.. )

Xobeloot, my dippin cousin from another mother in the deep south.. you owe it to yourself to try this

Redman is a Swedish Match Product and the Redman chew had the lowest TSNAs at 1.8 ppm. While the Snus listed had 2 to 2.8 ppm. And other American Smokeless Brands had 4 to 12 in the TSNA count. Guess the swedes really do have tobacco down to a science.

I stopped using Cope and used Redman Natural up until i started Snusing. Great product and is only $2 can here in Ga and Cope was $5. So was an easy switch for me. A very good product.

Hopefully you will get a chance to try Triumph which is also made by Swedish Match put out by another company for the US market and is great. Just shows Camel and PM USA do not know what they are doing when it comes to snus.

I recently received 3 free cans in the mail, but haven't been able to bring myself to open one. This is a fermented product that would necessitate spitting, no?

I tried some last year, the red label, I don't remember the specific style. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't my thing. It had a floral taste, and wasn't like the Copenhagen flavor I was looking for. Also, there's the whole spit thing. I guess you can swallow with the American snuffs, but I couldn't bring myself to do so :^D

Redman Dip is a quality product. I get myself a can now and again. Yes, it can be "upper-decked" amd it prettu much eliminates the need to spit. I just have this thing about using dip as dip is meant to be used. The flavor is OK in the upper lip, but MUCH better in the lower. Typically with the redman stuff I only need to spit for the first few mins then I just savor the flavor. Start swallowing too soon and you'll most likely turn a nice shade of green. The spit/swallow thing is all based on how much juice you can stomach without feeling ill.

Got my 3 free cans of natural Friday, will probably open a can this week just to try it out, used to like the straight dips back in the day.
Could really tell I had gotten used to the smell of snus, which I love, the slight smell wafting from the redman tin they were packed in just didn't smell "right" anymore.

So then is Redman moist snuff not fire-cured? Does anyone know? Could it be the only moist snuff (American) that is pasteurized and not left to ferment? I saw the chart which showed it at 1.8ppm TSNA content, but I think that was referring to the Red Man Chewing Tobacco. Either way, judging from what we all know about Swedish tobacco processing procedures, I would assume Red Man anything is better than most American snuffs. Anyone know for sure on any of this? Thanks.

I would imagine its a superior product indeed. You can top lip it and not have to spit but like mentioned above if im using american snuff i bottom lip it and spit. Doesnt bother me to have to do so.

Methinks it wouldn't be a bad idea for Swedish Match to market a premium snus in the US using the RedMan name. Probably something with a pure tobacco taste akin to Ettan, N&J, or Lucky Strike.

tried it, not bad. I have a few cans in the fridge right now. I have only seen it in long cut. Better flavor than I thought it would be.

Redman Natural is a fine cut snuff. Actually holds together better than copenhagen fine cut IMO. Still though top notch snuff for the price you pay. $1.50 - $2 here in LaGrange GA. Compared to $5 a can for Copenhagen

Just tried some yesterday. Not bad, but it's too sweet and it's not snus! I gave my 3 cans away

No redman is not snus. Do not base a decision on it because of that. Its is premium american snuff and is my favorite.
