Hey.. I have a question..

I have been busy as hell at school so I have not been on bery much but even before the semester started I noticed the screen name ginny88 was always logged on. And..... She/he is still logged on months later with no post.. Who are you ginny88?

I really don't know why I care but it is a mystery...(to me at least)

Don't think this means a whole hell of a lot.. Nor is it necessarily sinister.

I know of a couple registered users who log on but don't post (although they have at least said howdy)... evidently there are some features not available if you're not signed on.

She/he is still logged on months later with no post..

I'd like to know the trick to this.

If there is no interaction on my part for ~30-45 minutes, SnusOn says I'm not online --- but once I start interacting again I'm still logged on without losing anything (right back where I left off)!!

I agree with snusgetter.............if you were doing covert operations for the FDA..............why join......just log on as a guest.....there are far less tracks that way

Figured as much. Forum data mining is big business. There's a wealth of personal information on forums, like pictures of the members, where you live, what you do, what you like, where you work, how much you make, religious and political beliefs, etc. etc. By the time you put the information together, you could get most answers to security questions. Add social networking to the mix, and it's identity theft waiting to happen.
