    Guardian Article on Snus

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/jul/27/not-snuff-not-snout-snus

    Discolored drool? Rabbit droppings? Snogging?

At least they note that "Though Snus has been linked to raised blood pressure and an increased risk of pancreatic cancer, it is not as harmful as smoking."

But it does have its downsides. "I find it very addictive, just as much as cigarettes," says Jon Hedelien, who gets through three boxes a day.
Where the hell do they find these people?! It seems like news stories pick the far outsiders for their articles. Who the hell uses 3 tins per day?!

Other than that, it's not a terrible article.

Well it's in the G2 supplement in the first few pages which is normally home to the more quirky journalism.

Nice article. I have to disagree with the antisocial drawback there though. I know my girlfriend is absolutely thrilled that I chose snus over the smokes. I do miss hanging out with smokers outside in dark alleys with rain and snow though.

You can still hang out with them. That's what I do. I'll go outside and snus, while others smoke. Smokers are cooler than anti tobacco zealots :^D

Yeah, I do sometimes, but I met more random people at bars when I was a smoker. Now there's no reason to go outside and just hang... lol

                His pancreas must be sore.

On a serious note, how can someone go through three cans of snus in one day? He must take huge pinches out of the can.

Or just toss each portion/pris after 10-15 minutes. Either way, he's an idiot.

Is it just me or anyone else ever notice that stories like this never have comments????

Could just be because the only people who care about it are snusers, and they don't dignify it with a response for hack journalism. As mentioned, these journalists only ever seem to find extreme users that go to gonzo lengths and promote ridiculous stereotypes about snusers.
