I was in Ohio last week and picked up a few cans of General products since they are sold in most Speedway stores in the area. The one can of General White Portion I purchased may be bad but I have no frame of reference to tell.
The Best By date was 7/26 so it still had a few weeks of "goodness" left. Upon opening the can it was obvious it was sitting on its side for some time. The star pattern was still intact but the bottom third looked like regular portions and the top two-thirds like the white portions they were supposed to be...it appears a lot of the moisture/juice settled to the "bottom" of the can. The overall flavor signature was how I remembered it but just significantly weaker.
Is this typical/has it gone "bad"? I have heard others talk about snus, especially los, drying out over time as it gets older if not stored properly...
