Snus & food

If I had more time in Stockholm on Friday then I would have tracked down the restaurant armed with Roda, Ettan and General and begged them to recreate the menu ...
Ps: I propose a Snuson snus tour.....starting at F&L in Malmo, going up to the Swedish Match factory in Gothenburg / Kungälv (?), then to Landstroms and ending in Gotland ....and of course stopping off at Esperanto and asking them to recreate the experience.....How does that sound?

But one can dream, right? - imagine us packed in a bus driving up north with our hands (and, of course, upper lips) full of free samples. Oh boy.

I don't think it would be that expensive (or no more than a standard week away), but I agree on the time issue
I've been kicking around this idea for a while and thought about going to Gotland this summer for a weekend to stop by Gotlandssnus....
It would be much more fun with a bunch of snus aficionados though and I think the companies would be much more receptive to the idea of a factory tour if there was a bunch of us....
So if we all somehow find the funds and time we should definitely do it...

For me it would have to be something subtle because the longer I use snus the more I find myself leaning towards the pure tobacco snus flavours - Ettan, Montecristo, Grov -
...maybe snus with the taste of the smell of freshly ground coffee (if that makes sense)........
or something close to the taste you get from some whiskey?....undertones of oak, honey, and dried fruit..
or the taste of tobacco you get with Ettan with the added taste of vanilla and manuka honey...
I picked up some dark chocolate flavoured with Earl Grey in Luxembourg the other day for my girlfriend and that combination sounds awesome as well....
The possibilities are endless but I wonder which ones will really work????

I think it would be a lot of fun to invade a snus factory with a group of crazy snus addicts

$1600? That is pretty steep.....It might be slightly cheaper if the flight is booked well in advance and if the dates are not in the middle of summer...so August or September rather than July.....
The other option would be to fly to a hub like Heathrow or Frankfurt and then catching a flight with one of the low cost carriers....
I figured a trip like this would be about GBP1000-1200 ($2000 - $2300) but I really think it can be done cheaper than that if it is planned properly....
So not the cheapest trip but it would be well worth it and I would personally still be keen if enough people jump on the idea....
Ps: I take your point though eli that one cannot splurge on a snus holiday if it strains the finances no matter how amazing it would be
