Ok here's what I can cobble together with my Google-fu (and reading some very strange forum posts): Gajane is a marketing company that owns the Oden's brand name, and they sub production to both GN and V2. I guess my can of Oden's classic is a V2 product. Does this sound right?

I gave up trying to figure out Gajane and GN's relationship a long time ago. All I know is anything with Oden's on it is good, and at the end of the day, in my mind, that's all that matters.

I'm actually really interested in this. GN says that they don't make Black Gold, however we established long ago when it first came out if you search for that Black Gold thread that GN does in fact make that product.... If this is not the case GN would be better suited to branch off from Gajane and start a new brand rather than have sub standard products ruin their name.

I only have two gripes with Oden's: they have no white portions and the tobacco isn't salty enough. If they released a regular-strength white portion (~50% moisture) with a higher salt content, I'd be content.

It's true that Oden is kinda disliked in Sweden, but I don't know why to be honest. Me personally think the original is okay, but the tar taste... not so good :P
