Travel to EU from USA - Limits for personal use?

I am brand new to snus and have read some lengthy threads here about EU rules on this subject. Unfortunately, my grasp of legal jargon is for naught and the info posted seems to revolve around the concerns of EU residents, not ignorant tourists like myself.

    So, I have two questions:

    1) How many cans/grams can I bring with me from the USA?

I will be flying to Helsinki and my trip will last 3 weeks, so I figure 10 cans/240 grams should more than suffice for the duration of my journey.

    2) Will I have problems carrying my paltry 10 cans within the EU (i.e. airports/border crossings)?

After arriving in Finland, I will travel by sea, land and air to Estonia, Latvia and Germany before returning to Helsinki and back to the states. I have numerous cans purchased online from snuscentral which have Swedish warnings on them, so I'm not sure if this presents tax/duty issues with the endlessly confusing EU customs regulations.

Any responses would be much appreciated.

I visited Netherlands in December, bringing about a rolls worth. No one ever asked about them, I never said anything about them, and all went fine. I would assume even if customs did stop you, a roll would well be within the realm of "personal consumption" and not seen as a business venture - but then again, I am not an international lawyer.

It depends which country you're from. EU still have different limits in each country.

No one will take note. Since I started snusing I've cleared customs with plenty of snus in my luggage in: Germany, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, back to Kazakhstan, back through Germany, to China and back, to France, through Qatar, into and around Malaysia and into Singapore (where import regulations are brutal), and I think that's it. No one has ever raised an eyebrow, even when they look at my snus dead on. Snus on, buddy!

Thanks for the info. I just quit smoking and would hate to start up again because some government lackey confiscated my snus, leaving me with no other option.
