I didn't have money to stock up, but I'm still working on my PACT stash. I would have liked to get some Pioneer, but whatever; I don't need it now, and won't for a long time to come. When that time comes, I may not even be using commercial snus.Originally posted by chadizzy1 View PostSo did everyone in Maryland stock up? Curious how this will end up for you guys.

I don't know, I have really heard about it. I guess tobacco isn't news anymore. The mail ban was a surprise to me when Whalen mentioned it. I listen to a lot of news, and either it managed to get by me, or there wasn't any coverage on it. I wouldn't be surprised if the tax increase is the same. I'll have to do some reading on it, and see what it's all about :^/Originally posted by chadizzy1 View PostI read something in a magazine in March about Maryland proposing a 500% tax increase on certain tobacco products, did that go through?
Edit:
That was easy enough. They want to raise the tax on products "other than cigarettes" to 90% of wholesale, as opposed to the 15% it currently is. Is still being weaseled with by our illustrious criminals, but I have no doubt it'll pass. Tobacco is an easy target, and if you're for tobacco, it means you're against the kids. I say fsck the kids. They just make noise, and get in the way. I think we should grind them up, and make Spam out of them. That's a good use for kids :^D

This is America we're talking about. Laws don't mean anything. There's as much creative interpretation regarding laws as there is with the Bible. Have no doubt that this nonsense will spread to every state, and it won't stop there. Once the nannies have gotten their way with tobacco, your food will be next. My only consolation is I'm closer to death than birth, and I might not have to see it, but with the way things are going, I have my doubts :^SOriginally posted by GoVegan View PostI still hope that someone challenges this as a violation of interstate commerce. If Maryland gets away with this, you can bet that other states will soon follow.
