That so sux! I'm sure it's only a matter of time before WA does that too. The thing that doesn't make sense is now that PACT is in effect, the states get their state taxes anyway, so what difference does it make if it's online or local?

I am very happy we (Seattle) have a smokeshop connected with Northerner now that can get Northerner products. Worth the drive down there to not have to deal with shipping and waiting.

Yes the one in Fife. BJ's Tobacco. She emailed me yesterday asking if I wanted anything as she was placing an order. Ordered a roll of Jakobbson's Classic Strong, Jaks Wintergreen, and General Long Sterk. She's great, very responsive on email, friendly, and accommodating. Not sure the range of her catalog though, have to email her and see.

Can't buy and have shipped but surely you can receive unpaid snus. IE gifts. Surely SnusOn folks will help if you hit a rough patch!

Wow, that's insanity--I'm really hoping that the legislation doesn't start infecting surrounding states. I'd doubt that Tennessee will ever start rolling out laws quite like some of the others (I had a whopping $3.00 tax on my last $100 order at Northerner...HA!) but given the changes we've seen this past year or so, who knows! Hope things get worked out for you guys--GN to the rescue!

Calm down....you have to understand why they (Maryland) passed such a law, if it's even a new law. They want to stop online retailers from selling into their state...untaxed. Northerner collects all the taxes, and I will call them when I get back from the show to confirm this. I have a couple people in the department of Revenue that work with us....I'll find out what's going on. I'll be home from the tobacco show on Friday, so it will probably be Monday next week before I find out anything. I'll keep you posted on what I find. ;-)

It may effect orders from northerner (shipped within us) but I can't see any way they can stop international orders coming from sweden. If it was a federal law then customs could seize the package upon import, but not an individual state.

I'm still placing a big order, just in case though.
