Now's a good time for everyone to patronize the fine small snus makers that are available. GN has stepped up to the plate in stellar fashion, and I think their generosity should be rewarded. Gotland, and V2 are also great underappreciated makers that should be given a serious look. Honestly, Swedish Match snus isn't all that. For a complete catalog, they probably have the best portfolio, but by mix matching snus from a few makers, all their products can be bested.

With the news that Swedish Match is banned....................the market has just changed significantly..........If the ban on SM remains......................it might be a good time to revisit that old marketing strategy for the Future ..........................things have changed.....................someone will fill the void..................I would love to see Gotlands be one of those companies

The thing was we were going to be able to order what Northerner had in their US warehouse to the EU but apparently from the end of the week they can't ship any SM snus from the US to the EU. The EU to EU snus ban remains as it.

Bright future indeed, but also most likely a short one. Gotlands is good Snus, no question there, but if SM, a large and influential company, got scared enough to pull their products from the market, how long can smaller companies endure similar pressure? Not to mention that it will be hard to find investors willing to put money into expansion plans considering how volatile the situation is. The only long-term hope is that SM gets behind the web-shops and supports them in fighting this nonsense.

they don't want to loose money that's all ! That's serious money ........ If in 2008 SM made sales of almost 1 billion by 2010 that doubled for sure......
