Montecristo Loose from Northerner - Success!

It came. I ordered it I believe on Monday and it got here today, Saturday.

First impression was of the terrific tin. Has a dull/matte finish, is thin and has a raised lettering just like my deceased favorite Diplomat.

I knew it would only have 35g enclosed, but upon opening, it looked even slighter. It was a small round puck of snus, completely stuck together. Didn't fill the entire tin. Still looked classy however, kind of like a larger houkka charcoal.

Baked easily by hand. Fine texture, which I prefer, yet slightly wetter than the other finely ground products.

The pris has good holding power. Resists all the prodding I was doing to try and get the initial flavor. I liken it to Granit's propensity to withstand just about everything.

Its taste is subtle. Tobacco with a bit of smoke, although quite unlike the Ettan flavor. Again, as with many, there is a tinge of lemon.

If they would have left the lemon out, it would be a perfect snus in my opinion. I was expecting a much stronger tobacco flavor what with it boasting Cuban heritage/ingredients, but it certainly does not disappoint.

Cool. I too, ordered some last week, and I'm anticipating it's arrival. Weird though, that they'll ship the loose, yet not the portions..... wonder if it's a glitch they haven't caught on to, or if there's some legitimate reason behind this.

      I should've got some of the R & J mini's too. Whatever they'll send me, i'll take!!

      Cheers,

      Erik

Waiting for my MC los as well, put it in my first order of loose snus (5 tins in all). If Northerner's shipping is anything like last time it should be here today or tomorrow.

My order for 5 tins of loose went through. Hope it makes it to Florida in one piece.

I ordered a can of mont loose and it went through. I've since returned to Northerner to try again and no go. I also wasn't able to get the portions to through the first time of either brand, nor the second time.

Now I'm wishing I'd ordered more tins, but I don't want to do that for a snus I haven't tried.

So you guys were able to place an order for Montecristo Los through northerner without any problems? Is it still possible or did they fix it now? If its still possible I might have to give it a go.

Well my loose order just arrived at home (wife called to let me know). So I'll know tonight if things went off without a hitch. Although if Dead Rabbit's experience is more recent than mine (los went through portions were removed, this was around, monday or tuesday of last week) then I'd say the jig is up.

When you say "no go," do you mean that they removed it from your cart when you tried to checkout? Or did you get to successfully checkout, and then they removed it after that?

My five cans of Montecristo loose arrived today. They arrived with no problems.

I've got a pris in right now. I quite like it. It's got a very soft texture and a nice tobacco flavor with a bit of lemon. I'd order it more often if I could.

If Northerner doesn't stop me from ordering it in the future, I'll definitely be ordering some more. I can't see myself using it constantly, but it's something I'd like to have on hand for when the mood strikes me.

Great snus. I highly recommend it. The packaging is beautiful too.

My thoughts exactly. It has a very delightful taste. The tobacco has a very rich flavor to it, while the citrus/lemon flavor gives it a bit of "zip" so-to-speak.

I'll be ordering a roll of this for safe keeping today.

I ordered a roll just in case. Didn't want what happened to me with Diplomat.

I'm glad I'm not disappointed, but definitely not my favorite snus.

Good luck to anyone trying to buy, seems very inconsistent. Remember, this is the los that we're talking about. I'm not sure anyone has had success with the portions.
