If I'm not mistaken...there is a touch of licorice in Granit OP, but this special says it's a licorice portion...blech.

Eh that doesn't sound appealing. I have doubts in F&L's abilities to make a good licorice portion.

Edit: It's not sterk according to northerner.
Edit2: Oh there're two types being released never mind.

Licorice sounds better to me. LD Black was exceptional. I'd be interested in trying a new licorice snus. I've settled on Offroad Lakrits lös, but it's always good to see what's around in that regard. Catch licorice was kind of meh.

This just in: Larry Waters says SnusCentral WILL be carrying both of these as soon as they make another Granit order! Woo! He also says Thunder Coola should arrive any day now and they ordered the maximum amount V2 would allow. Exciting times for snusers these are.

Just got a can of Granit Stark through this morning.

The portions look like regular size F&L portions (eg. Luckys and Lucky Bolds) and the snus has a darkish colour to it. Portions look medium moist.

Had one in for about 1/2 an hour now. Reasonable nic punch for stark strength. To start with couldn't really taste much but then a slightly bitter taste came on and then a bitter Licorice flavour (aha, yes Salmiak mentioned in ingredients) came through which then dissapaited back to just a slightly bitter taste. Not the same flavour I remember from the big, juicy Granit Maxis which were sort of salty tobacco with a hint of citrus.

Don't think would appeal to me on a regular basis but think would make a good economy stark for those who enjoy a Licorice flavour. I think I'm back off to my General Long Sterks, yum

Just doesn't sound too appetizing ... and I'm a Moxie drinker from way back.

Sounds kind of good to me. Starks aren't my cup of tea, and neither are portions, but if they were, I'd be very interested :^D

I spoke with my contact at F&L this morning, so a little about these new products.

Granit Stark is a strong original snus with the current Granit flavor which is designed primarily for Norway. The Granit Special is a white portion which apparently will have only a "hint" of licorice.

I should have both of these today or tomorrow, so I'll be doing a review soon!

Tasted nothing like Granit Original to me.

I haven't had Granit in so long I had to ask for a can of Granit too just so I could compare. For the life of me I can't remember off the top of my head what Granit tastes like.
