Ettan White has become boring to me.

I used to love it, but ever since Atreyukun introduced me to Tre Ankre, I find Ettan to be subpar. Also funny, when I first started snusing, Grov was the only snus I couldn't stand, now I prefer it over Ettan as well. Those everchanging tastes screwed me again.

Tre Ankre's pretty awesome. I wish it came in lös, or at least an original portion. I've gone back and forth between Grov and Ettan lös as being my favorite of the 2. It used to be Grov, but I've been preferring Ettan lately. I foresee that changing again in the future.

I would buy the hell out of Tre los! I'm on a Offroad los kick right now though, they seem to be easier to handbake then the SM los.

I have the same problem. Ettan used to be one of my go-to snuses but since I have gotten hooked on the Jakobbson's it seems lifeless to me now.

Have you ever tried Tre? I think it's one of the most under appreciated snus's out there. At least, you don't hear much talk about it on SnusOn.

Tre Ankare wp is good, must admit. Unique flavour and grind; there are stems and shit there, I've opened few portions and used it as loose.

I had never even heard of it until this thread. Where can you get it?

I believe Tre Ankre was the first portion snus ever. It started as an original portion, and became white somewhere along the way.

Interesting, thanks. I find it interesting that they no longer offer OP, just WP. Wonder why they chose to go that route. In any case I will have to pick up a can or two and try it out.

My guess is market research. Also, I think they created a whole new brand so bad reception wouldn't negatively affect the current portfolio. Going from memory, this was back in 1978. There wouldn't be any guarantee of success, especially amongst the lös traditionalists. If they released a General portion, and everyone hated it, it could have given the General name a bad reputation in...um...general :^D

Yes, Tre Ankare was the first portion snus, then came Catch. They were sold in bags, not cans. As far as I remember, they weren't good, drip was horrible and real men didn't use portions those days.

Vegan - you need to get on the General White Portion train. :P After it became so damn hard to get LD White, General White was what I switched to and I've used it primarily ever since.

On the subject of Tre, it's good stuff! I think I did a review of it at some point in time....lemme see if I can find it.

Swedish Match has alot of interesting brands in their profile. And they all have different tastes. Tre Ankare is no different. It's one I've been wanting to revisit for a while and give a good go with. I haven't ever really heard much about Tre Ankare, despite the fact that I haven't heard MUCH about it, the things that I've heard have been good. Tre Ankare is a very interesting snus. The aroma is very pleasant, a smooth, sweet tobacco aroma with hints of herbs in the background. It's rather mild, but a unique experience. One thing I appreciate in a snus is a herbal flavor. I've observed it in a few snuses, such as 01/02 and Phantom Blue (White Portion). It was very present in this snus. The flavor that's in the front is a very mild tobacco flavor with a little salt flavor in there, but no peppery flavor to speak of, at least that I could detect. In the mix was a very pleasant herbal flavor that I mentioned earlier. Hard to pick up on what it is, all that is disclosed is "dried herbs", but from my estimate I would go with parsley. I'm a big fan of parsley, I put it in almost everything I cook, and I think that's one of a few that is in the "dried herbs" mix of Tre Ankare. All this flavor is accompanied by a light, sweet undertone that is mixed in with all these flavors. The flavor of Tre Ankare lasts quite a while, 1 and 1/2 hours on average for the can that I used, which is a good average.

I'm curious to see how Click compares to Tre Ankare. I love snuses with an herbal thing going on - Phantom Blue White Portion is one I use a lot, and I like it's herbal taste that is more present in the white portion than the windex over flavoring that's in the original portion. I've got some Click coming today or tomorrow, I'm curious to see what it's all about.

Me too apparently as 01 and 02 are two of my favorites. I like your comments about Tre Ankare, I think I will definitely grab a couple cans to try it out.

Chad, dude, General White is my main snus I use. I always try to have 1 bergamot, 1 straight up tobacco flavor, 1 mint, 1 weird flavor (GR, licorice, etc.) and 1 sterk open at the same time. I'm rationing my LD's, and using the hell out of General White.
