Hospital. I wasn't the one in the bed but still. It was the ER with my daughter...nasty eye infection that has since cleared.

Well, I have now learned the greatness that is hospital snusing. My husband has had 2 hospital stays in the past month. The last one was at a massive hospital that would probably have taken over a half an hour (if the elevators weren't too busy) for someone to find a spot to smoke. I went through a lot of Nick and Johnny and now have to try scaling back a bit on my nic need, but it was great not to have to think about cravings or wondering when I'll get a chance to step away. I did feel mildly guilty on his third night when one of the other patients was going crazy with cig cravings. If it wasn't the high-risk cardio ward I would have offered some snus, but I didn't want to be responsible for his heart rate going crazy from the nic rush.

I have to say at the moment my job is about the weirdest place I have used snus. Due to my line of work its hard to get away for a smoke when I did smoke. Now I sit here in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Hell's Waiting Room, FL with snus and a smile

It's really odd with my husband. The second trip, he actually crashed right in the ER, but after four days of tons of test from nearly every department in the hospital, they still don't know what is causing his pulse to plummet or the chest pain. I guess the good news is they are 99.9% certain it is not actually his heart, so we are working with neurology and endocrinology to try figuring it out. The docs took him off all his high blood pressure medication and that has helped lessen the number and intensity of his episodes. The military docs are pitching a fit that he stopped taking them, but we trust the teams of specialist from a good hospital over the military docs we're supposed to go through.

The hospital and doctors clinics near me are completely non smoking. You cannot even smoke in the parking lot and they have tobacco free zone signs everywhere. I really enjoy snus whenever I need to go there.

I play in a Street Hockey League in the summer time and there is nothing more satisfying than enjoying some snus while playing hockey. It's especially cool for the simple fact that tobacco use is prohibited at the rink. It gives me satisfaction of breaking that rule whilst no one is the wiser.
