    Northerner Wintergreen

I have tried Northerner Boost. Slightly medicine tasting but more than tolerable. I like the kick, size, no drip for work, nic hit(same as regular to me) and purity of this snus. I would be interested to see if the taste in the wintergreen is an improvement over the Boost taste? Has anyone tried Northerner Wintergreen?

    My worth..

I have all the Northerners 6mgs in my rotation, but especially use them when I'm
    out-and-about.

I always carry the Boost with me; the container, like the portions, is very inconspicuous.
Boost contains caffeine, taurine, and guarana; thus its name and the reason I like them.
As for the medicine taste of Honey/Peppermint, I'm out of the loop on that since it's been
ages since I've used any syrupy OTCs. (As an aside, Boost reminds me of a cleaner tasting
Camel and well-suited to being offered to an American newbie who may not initially take
    readily to Swedish snus.)

Northerner Wintergreen, IMO, is a mellow snus with a hint of wintergreen. In fact, I'd say
all the Northerners are mellower than Boost. Wine & Dine is especially good if you don't
want your snus to compete with the meal you've just eaten since it's unflavored. None of
them need refrigeration but are dry enough to require a thorough tongue-wetting.

All of them can be 'double-barreled' if you're looking for 12mg of inconspicuous goodness.

Thanks Snusgetter appreciate the feedback. When you say mellower is that because of the lack of caffeine? Also, I seem to get the hiccups with Boost. What's up with that?

Nic content is the same for all the 6mg Northerners. (There are also
3mg portions but they are marketed toward women for some reason.)

Flavors of them all are pretty mellow to begin with but the Wintergreen
seems to be a mellower version of Boost flavor-wise.

I'm led to understand that hiccups are generally the result of the nicotine
hit, but they usually go away once your body becomes acclimated. If 6mg
of nicotine gives you the hiccups, I'd say you're pretty much in the ballpark
at this stage nic-wise. With Boost, the added boosters might also be a
factor to the hiccups but, again, they should go away fairly quickly.

Got it. On the hiccups, I do not get them with Rape #2, General Mint, Catch Pure Mint my normal rotation. Just surprised to be getting them with the 6mg Boost when none with the 7-8mg portions? Also, I get a little more buzz/light headed with the Boost and I am a regular caffeine user? Is there a chance that the Boost has a higher nic absoption than the other portions due to the unique manufacturing process?

It's because the nic hits like a ton o' bricks in a very quick manner. That's why I love the purified minis.

Yeah, I've noticed that too with mini's

In fact all portions will give your a much quicker kick.

Purified Tobacco ... not sure what that really means but they sure kick ass!!

Stonewalls are on the same idea but in tablet form, lipped just like snus.
Wish they came in a higher nic potency than 4mg ...
They can't be 'double-barreled' like the Northerners.
