    This is weird ...

I've just opened a tin of White Snuff (Wilson of Sharrow) non-tobacco,

and surprisingly I found some kind of rot inside, it looks like wool. lol

I didn't know snuff can go bad and it has been stored properly.

Yeah that is weird. I've gotten old tins with rust inside before but nothing like that.

That probably is wool! What else could it be? Aren't those white snuffs just made out of glucose? I didn't think they could go bad.

        It's not wool. lol

Looks like wool but much softer and it's some kind of bacteria for sure.

Never had this before with any other snuff.

And it was kept in the same dry place.

I'm not terribly surprised tbh. Sugary powder seems like a good place for stuff to grow. Personally I wouldn't use it. Either send it back, or just eat the cost.

            Will just keep it.

Anyway I don't snuff all that much.

I ocassionally take a small pinch of Lowen Prise, Polsch's Apricot, Toque Rose, Wishkey Honey Menthol .. and there were a few more of my favorites.

The sisnusitis doesn't like snuff all that much.

Did you try a sniff of it yet?

I would let wilsons know............maybe send the picture along and see what they say. They might want to know if this is a problem with their product. Also they are pretty good about customer service. They might send you a new tin.

No actually I didn't because I don't know what kind of bacteria is growing in there.

It's looks very weird too, never seen such stuff growing anywhere .. I'd compare it to butterfly cocoons ..

Anyways I will try to email them and ask just for the sake of curiosity and maybe help them fix the snuff.

The box has been barely opened 4 or 5 times and suddenly that shit grew in there.

Let's see.. maybe I'll get a small reward for it :P

Even without the bacteria it is like snorting a powdered donut.

                          Never had a mint donut

It's similar to a candy I used to eat when I was a kid, don't like all that much ...

I was just amazed to see it go bad, never had any problems with my snuff tins.

                              @jagmans

Only happened to this tin .. Probably it's because it's not tobacco, it's some kind of sweet minty powder

And I have snuff for over one year now.
