    Pinch and Toss

    So after fairly getting the hang of hand baking los, I decided to try a pinch and toss (based on info in the dippers guide to snus). All I can say is I like, and no I have never dipped.

    Makes me think my hand baking could use some refining of smaller looser prillas.

    I hand bake most of the times but even then I make the prilla more loose to get more flavor.

    Sometimes, yeah just pinching a decent amount of los and sticking it up there will give you a nice full flavor of your los & much faster.

      I did it with Grov today. it seems to be mudding up a touch quicker but not by much. Used less snus, hands were a bit cleaner after done and yeah hit and flavor was a bit quicker. Also shape was very discreet. I like, of course like most things, continued experimentation shall be thoroughly enjoyed!

        @Ken

        One thing you should avoid when just tosing the snus in your lip is to put your toungue around it...

        It definitely will be mudding up a lot quicker but it will give you a nicer boost of nicotine and flavor every time.

          I used my tongue to help push the loose bits up there and, well using it to clean up a touch of the slide as things go on.

            I use my toungue a bit to place it too, but only at the beggining.

            If you continuosly reach with your toungue it will get all messy.

              Oh, OK, well I wouldn't say I did that. I will say this is my first tin of Grov and I have found it tends to mud up a lot quicker than most other los snus I have tried.

                I have done this method but I much rather prefer making a prilla, but I make my prillas pretty loose anyways. :P

                  I don't do it a lot but I really like having that option available. Hits fast and hard if you hillbilly it. I handbake and when I started they were pretty tight. I've loosened up over time

                    I only use the "hillbilly method". In Sweden, it's referred to as a "farmer's pinch". In my opinion, this method is the original/old school way to use los snus. I prefer this method because it takes less time, provides more flavor and nicotine, and is more comfortable than a baked prilla. I saw a Swedish documentary and all the people used the "hillbilly method" when using los.

                      I am mixing it with hand baking as a technique to my "arsenal". I find the merit is if I need a quick fix, quick hit, and plan to be removing said snus in a shorter time than I would get the benefits out of a formed prilla it works great. For example thre some in about 10 minutes ago that I will have to lose before a meeting at 10.
