I was never keen on General but I love the General XR white slim.

I do not like this snus. I mean, it is tasty, but there are problems. Well, one problem. I think it is the smoke (I complained about this frequently in the past) bothers my throat. Most Swedish Match snus does this to me except RL and Prima Fint as far as I know/remember. I have this till my new order gets here, and I think this was why I gave up on snus for nasal snuff a few years ago. Finding a flavor I liked in the “classic” realm without throat irritation was a chore at that time.

What else can you say, such a splendid taste and a fresh clean aroma ….. it's no wonder that General White Portion is one of the best selling snus lines in the world.

I haven't tried General OP (weird, I know) but if it tastes more like General Loose rather than General White, then I'll love it

To me there is quite a bit of difference between General Original Portion and General White Portion. The General Lös is like General Original Portion without the portion material.


But don't go by what I think. I am a lös rookie. Most of my experience has been with portion snus.

I haven't been snusing for too long and General White were the first cans that I used.. didn't like them too much. Didn't like bergamot, I didn't dislike it but there was something about it that did not please me.

Yesterday I tried General Lós and I absolutely loved it. Is the taste between general lös and white portions too different or is it me that my taste buds have gotten used to snus?

Best snus ever made. Hands down.

The flavor is a peppery/salty tobacco with hints of lemon. I compare all others against it.

First off, my first post!

General - White portion is my favorite snus to date. If I had to complain about one thing with it, I wish it would last longer. The strong flavor seems to come on and go away too quick. Either way, still my favorite to date. Granted, I haven't tried a lot of brands/flavors yet. Goes good with a beer too!

General White is my everyday snus at work. That being said I prefer a milder flavour such as Ettan Lös to start my day when my morning palette can't handle too much.

The General White is growing on me, a bit dry and it actually burns (salt) my gum somewhat, almost like salting an open wound but it diminishes. The peppery flavor reminds me of plain ol' nicorette, but the citrus really rounds it out in a positive way (tastes like Earl Grey tea). I at first didn't like it, thought it to be bland after having tried the Mint flavor. But as of today I am actually enjoying it with a nice cup of black coffee(goes really well together) and may very well be one of my favorites until I do a bulk order of other types.

Initially it was a 7.5/10, but now its more like a 9/10 as it grows on you and you are able to taste the different flavors throughout its use. Top notch!

If you like white portions, I'd give Grov and Ettan White a try. They don't have any bergamot -- just smoke flavor to enhance the tobacco.

Yes I love Ettan and grove is good too but there is a little bit of that flavor there. I found Thunder Frosted and Probe to also be very good without that flavor. But for just tobacco flavor I find Ettan and Pioneer the best!
