Picked up a couple of these for the name alone. Curious if anyone has a review out yet so as to tell me how fast to crack a tin. Snusgetter? I see you chawing on this in the 'What's in your mouth' thread?....

Well, let's see...

• Definitely a pleasant citrusy smell and taste..
• Not very salty -- in fact the salt blends in quite well..
• Very dry so tongue wetting is pretty much a prerequisite (your specialty I hear, LaZ)..
• The portion material seems a little rougher than most (but not too much more), even after wetting..
• Starts off with the citrusy flavor, then the saltiness arrives, and finally some tobacco shines through..
• It's a stretch to get more than 45 minutes out of these but
• All in all, a pleasant snus that goes good with my Unsalted V8.

Yeah, I read that review too ... from a trusted source ... but I felt the
reviewer (Larry ??) had an axe he was grinding. Which is his prerogative!
He generally has good respectable reviews but he's certainly not unbiased.

I know I've been using Oden's 69 for a few weeks now. I don't remember
my initial reaction to them but I certainly wouldn't review them after a five
minute first-time use and call it a day. As for tasting like genitals, I'm sure
his expertise in that is more than incidental (otherwise, why even bring it
up). Or is that reference also based on a quickie review??

With all that being said, I never give faith to reviews that have an axe to
grind, or from one-off trials. Plus, chacun à son goût!!

It may have been a commenter to his review, but I do remember the mention
of genitals and, now that you mention it, vomit.

I won't be bothered to track down the source since, as I mentioned, I never
give faith to reviews that have an axe to grind, or from one-off trials. That's
what struck me most about the review.

There was also a review of the Northerners (aka Oomphs) that was in the
same vein. Kinda takes the respect out of the reviewers' site. I hope these
reviews were just anomalies.

Since the reference was 'genitals' and not indicating female parts, I take it PP was the Reviewer?

OK, I got some of this Oden's 69 White Portion. It also says DRY in between the 6 and 9.
This to me, is..... eh, not bad. Doesn't taste like vomit, but it's not the quality we see with other brands, and I think it may be because this is DRY, and the other whites are moist.

Opening the can, looking at it, tasting it..... could it be? No, I can't imagine it, but maybe....

Very similar. Maybe a little saltier and citrusier.
Not a rebuy, unless I change my mind(only 2nd portion so far).
Not terrible.... but compared to other whites, it's not that good to me.

And the can feels so light.

Yep Dry it is but after it moistens up in yer gob abit .. its pretty good no burn.. id rate similar to jakobbson's minus sweetness flavor wise which really comes on after about 30-45 mins ..maybe abit more orangy citrus ? fresh cans i have expire in 2012 so maybe the dry makes a diff in storage/longevity.. would definitely recommend to snubies. and no worries carry it everywhere it wont dry out. Verry good with Sweetened Iced green tea ..brings abit of the saltiness and tobacco flavor out. Verry comfortable white portion material .. its like a pillow for the lip send by Oden Himself.

absolutly dry is not so tasty but it is longer lasting snus in moth you can keep it longer twice and more that is snus which is yused often in Norther Swden i speasialy send you that that you will save more pouches

white and dry white is deferent things in white is 50 % water in moist is 50 %water indry is 25 % water
