ok so i have been able to virtuall kick my pack a day cig habit with snus, ive been using the camel frost frequently found in convenience stores in the u.s., I am thinking about ordering some real swedish snus but really like the minty freshness of the camel frost, I would like some reccomendations of flavors close to this before i spend 30 bucks ordering some online thanks in advance guys..

General mini mints but if you really like the taste of Camel, why switch? Camel is easy to get and cheap as well.

Welcome to the board!! I'm a little over a month in myself and love the mint as well.. The one I really like so far is general mint white portions. The mint tastes natural and smooth. Do you have any cigar shops in your area? Some of them carry general products they keep in a little fridge

i havent noticed any in the tobacco stores around here ill have to keep an eye out, do u know if its something tinderbox carries? theres one in raleigh and im up that way alot.

They might.. I'm here in San Antonio.. What you can do is go to yellowpages.com
etc and you can call them one by one before u drive over.. I found 3 places in my city that carry general

Hi jswhitley and welcome to another fantastic forum. This is the B&B of this snus world! Owens is around here as well.

Boston - in my own opinion it doesn't really matter as long as you like it. I do think that your taste will change with time though as most of here started with Camel and now can't stand the stuff. The General Mini Mints seemed a bit stronger to me and have a more natural taste than Camel. You would probably be better off spending your $30.00 on a sampler pack so you can try out the different types. Also, ask Chad (in this forum) if another box pass will be going around anytime soon. That would be a good way for you to try snus and just cover the postage in return.

The thread here is not nearly as comprehensive as B&B but that is the thread that got me looking at DE shaving to begin with. Bdubz may have it right with the Thunder Frosted. I have never tried Frosted as I am really starting to dislike flavored snus but Thunder Frosted is very popular.

I was a chain smoker. The Marlboro snus didn't have nearly enough nicotine for me. They left me really wanting a cigarette. Also, they cost 4 bucks for 6 portions. I was using mint Skoal to get my nic fixes and was up to a full can a day. I wanted something cheaper and safer. Tried Swedish snus for the first time a month ago. I loved it right away. With shipping it cost me 5 dollars for 24 portions. Also....way more available nicotine per gram. I am 5 months off the butts and am now doing about 12 portions of snus a day.
Swedish snus is the only way to go, Brother.
I dunno about the Camel flavor. I guess I should go out and try one and get back to you. Haven't tried General Minis but I dig the Thunder frosted. Not super minty or super sweet like Marlboro snus, but a big nicotine kick. And I agree with Vegan, try a few. Their flavors are more subtle and their nicotine strengths vary.

I love the thunder but
I think the general mint/mini mint is a good starter.. It's just awesome, thunder is cool I use the extra strongs right when I wake up and before bed.. But for taste and a decent hit general mint is the way to go.. Somewhere in Raleigh they gotta Carry them.. You can buy a can and not worry about paying shipping etc and right now is kind of a shaky time to order cause of this new law called pact.. You'll find a bunch of threads on here about it.

+1 on the General Mint.

IMO, the regular General Mint is a bit better then the General Mini Mint if you don't need the discretion of a mini.
