Elyxr contains both caffeine and taurine. I suspect the taurine plays a big role in it's effectiveness although the whole argument about whether taurine is even effective in energy drinks has been raging for like forever. Stiff, for me, energy drinks that don't contain it are not nearly as effective it seems.

I was just reading about this one on Swedish snus

And was wondering if it’s another gimmick or if it would actually give you some get up and go for those mornings when you just don’t want to.

I don't get any pep from it, but mild stimulants don't generally affect me anyway. My choice is a plainer snus(Landströms, Gellivare, Ettan, Grov, Phantom Brown) with coffee.

My personal experience with it is that it does nothing to wake me up. I know I will catch flak for this but I think it's true. Physically, I felt nothing save for a weird allergic reaction to my lip maybe 1 out of every 4 portions I used. Beyond the lack of physical effect, Northerner lists it as having 0.28 mg of caffeine. Even if that's a typo, and it has 28.0 mg of caffeine, that does not even compare to a single Excedrin, which has 65 mg of caffeine per tablet. A Coke has about 35 mg. The taurine content is listed as 2.83 mg per portion. I don't know what to make of this, since Red Bull apparently has about 1,000 mg of taurine. If what the Northerner really meant was 2.83 grams, then this is almost 3 times the amount in Red Bull. If by 0.28 mg of caffeine, they meant 0.28 grams, that's like drinking 8 cokes, or 3 cups of strong coffee. If those figures are correct, and Northerner mistook miligrams for grams, then caffeine and taurine just have zero effect on me. If their numbers are correct, then the effects are basically all in your head. I've looked elsewhere for clarification on the amounts of these substances but couldn't find it.

No, never a hassle. It just doesn't work for everyone. But it definitely does for some Nightfirez.

If you did a search, you would see I have been Elyxr's greatest advocate ever here. I do tell folks it is worth at least a try. And es, it can taste like a** but, again for me, the taste is worth it, and at about $0.06 a portion, well worth it. For me, I depend on it to make me alert enough to ride to work on my motorcycle before I finally have my first coffee of the day.

id love to know where ur getting them from to have them so cheap !

cheaper snus seem to work out at around 3.50/4.00 a tin 5.50/6 usd
mind you im happy with the whole not needing to go smoke any longer unless i actualy want to

LOL, you are in the UK. I am in the USA. That has been how lucky we have been for so long. But don't worry. Recent legislation here has started us on are a way to a bunch closer to what you have always had to pay.

It is OK for you guys anywhere in the EU to laugh a bit at us Yanks as we finally have to start paying a bit closer to what you have been paying in taxes the whole time.

Does anyone know if we will still be able to get Elixyr after PACT?

I plan on buying mine from Buysnus. They are a Swedish company, why should they care about PACT or the FDA. It is only Northerner that has turned themselves into an American company, subject to FDA rules and others.

I waited for snus for 10 days when I first started using 3+ years ago, I can learn to wait again if I have to.
