Hi kardinal. I tried to move to Athens in 1985. It didn't work out too well, but I did try.

It's kinda nice up there. I may take another crack at it some day. Or not.

make it someday then we can have a south east get together

Thing is, I have a buddy in Atlanta. I'd like to go see him in a few weeks/months, and really, I'd sort of like to take my time in coming back.

So yeah, a get together sounds like a real possibility.

So can anyone give me some recommendations on good types of snus to try for a beginner. I just got my order in today and the tastes of most of these are... extremely overwhelming.

Before these the only snus I'd had was the two flavors from camel and general mint. Here's what I ordered:

Oden's Extra Stark
Ettan OP
Skruf Stark White
Nick and Johnny Strong OP
Thunder Frosted

So far the ones I've found bearable are Thunder Frosted and Nick and Johnny. Oden's was amazing for the nicotine delivery but holy crap the saltiness/flavor was overwhelming and Ettan was just kinda in the middle.

I'm so used to the camel sugar snus that this completely flipped me out, I probably should have ordered general mint or something since I've had it before. Any recommendations?

Sounds like your right on track! It will take 1-2 weeks for you do love the new flavor of snus. Just keep at it. Everything except the Ettan you got is strong but you will adjust quickly. Get more non sterks for the times you don't really need the extra nic. I started on mini's, but know I use regular during the day and stronger ones at night while I'm drinking...

Your tastes will change a lot for years as well..

Thanks, I may place another order soon to try out some other stuff. I think I need the high nic right now because I was a pack (or more) a day smoker. I think I might keep the Oden's handy near my bed so when my alarm goes off I pop one in and insta wake up lol.

I will say this, I like that at the end of the day my lips dont feel like they've been shredded and are bloody. Screw camel snus.

Yes, yes, YES. Make as much use of the sterks and extra sterks as you feel you need. For me, almost only what I used my first 4 months of using snus many years ago.

Especially first thing in the morning. I have been using several sterks since day one. Still do today, some of the only sterks I use. But first thing in the morning, just perfect.
