As said the thunder will hit hard but good for coming off the smokes, the Ettan and Grov are two of the best ones there, the tre and luckies too, actually they are all great so just enjoy!

DONT order snus online to australia, many members have created accounts for the sole purpose of exposing the awful taxes in OZ.
Unless you can order snus from a trusted member at snuson, or in NZ (didn't get taxed there) it's simply not worth it
If money isn't an issue: Order 10 rolls of Ettan los and 10 rolls of Ettan portions, quitting smoking is priceless

^^ from what I've read here about ordering snus in Australia that is spot on.
I have another alternative - see if you and your bloke fancy getting in to growing your own and making your own snus from it! It's a very satisfying hobby you can enjoy together and you have the perfect climate for tobacco unless you live in the middle! I'm here for any advice you might need. The bonus ... no customs + free snus forever!Squeezyjohn

Don't order a lot of the same thing you have a great start with the list you ordered. With snus imo it is hard yo find one snus to be dedicated to after a couple cans the taste seems to change for me so I switch to another flavor or brand then go back to the one that I got burnt out on later and it taste good again. I wish I could find one that I can use every day but so far I haven't.

I like variety. Snus has different flavors for different moods without ridiculous gimmicks like the Camel flavored cigarettes. At a minimum I require a plainish snus, and a bergamot snus. Add to that the occasional licorice and mint, and I'm good to go. I'd be bored with one snus all day long. It's different than cigarettes for some reason, though I did buy the occasional menthol when I smoked.Originally posted by phantomI wish I could find one that I can use every day but so far I haven't.

Tracer, hmm i don't know if you read all the posts but i updated that the snus came delivered with no problems through customs. Maybe i just got lucky this time? It even said SNUS on the description on the front of the parcel. Thanks for the concern anyway.
Squeezyjohn growing our tobacco own sounds like a good idea that i had not thought about yet, Hubby does have a green thumb so i will probably look into that a bit more if he decides snus is better than smoking. Could you tell me how long it would take from getting some plants/seeds to having the final product? And is there a way to make it into a portion rather than use los?

CCC - you can get snus easily a year after sowing the seeds. But tobacco becomes an involved dark art once you get bitten! Some of the best is aged for 4 years or so.
Yes - there are ways of making portions yourself - but it's a bunch more complicated than it seems.
My personal preference with home-grown is to try and make twist tobacco from it using the same kind of snus-making principles of no sugar and air-curing and then create twist bites which are solid tobacco so they don't drip like lös does. The experiments this year worked very well.
Cheers

So today was Hubby's first try of snus and he said it burned his mouth and he doesn't like it. He took the lucky strike white portion and only tried 1 and had it in for about 5 minutes. Im so angry/upset that he didn't take to it well. What can i do? He has just gone to the shop to buy cigarettes. I told him he doesn't have to quit smoking immedeatly i would just like him to try the snus at the same time (hoping snus would just take over eventually) He doesn't seem to understand that logic, so he ran out of smokes and went to work today only with the snus. Would mint snus burn too? Which one from my list is the least burning?

Sorry to hear that CCC - In my opinion, anything with nicotine in it will have somewhat of a burn. You got him a nice assortment and hopefully he will be more open to trying different ones. Maybe take him somewhere you can't smoke and offer him some snus there. Anyway, stick it in the freezer and it will keep for a long time. He might not be ready yet.Originally posted by CCCSo today was Hubby's first try of snus and he said it burned his mouth and he doesn't like it. From your list, my guess would be the Ettan White would be the smoothest. Did you try it at all?

Mint snus would burn more, honestly. It's the mint oil, etc. Anyway, the mucous membranes in the mouth of a smoker or just anyone who hasn't used oral tobacco products, aren't accustomed to absorbing nicotine. Couple that with the sodium content of snus, and it causes a burn on the gums and a slight peppery feeling in the back of the throat. It happened to ALL of us, but will pass in a week or so. To lessen the burning on the gums and the back of the throat, tell him to drink water frequently and switch the snus from one side of the mouth to the next. I honestly miss the burn and will use Oden's cold portion from time to time, just to feel it again, lol. Good luck, it's tough to try and introduce a loved to snus, especially when they haven't used smokeless tobacco before.Originally posted by CCCSo today was Hubby's first try of snus and he said it burned his mouth and he doesn't like it.
