Im new to

Hey guys im new to snus and ive tried US brands Marlboro, large and small portion, camel, and skoal. I want to place a northener order but dont want to get in over my head. What do you all recomend?

You likely be able to use all the different kinds. some you might like better than others but all are useable.

If your nic tolerance is low try some minis.

If you are interested in loose try a can of General loose or Ettan loose. Note that both are tobacco and not mint.

Unless you have a nic tolerance stay away from strongs except for maybe Jakobsson's. Its called strong but never seems that strong to me. most Jakobsson's are candy snus. taste good.

I am not saying these brands are bad but for a green Swedish Snuser i would suggest waiting to try these brands:

Offroad - low cost but not the best.
Odens - Strong and some have wild taste.
Thunder - Strong. Not bad snus. Some kinds are not the greatest.

You will likely get a bunch of ideas on what to buy but those are my thoughts.

If you are just looking to pick up 3 or 4

Oden Extreme (regular strength portions)
Jakobssons Mint
Phantom Blue or brown
General Classic

That should give you a range of flavors from a variety of makers.

Anyway.................keep us posted on what you try and like..............Also remember don't throw anything away if you don't like it at first...........your taste will change...........stick it in the freezer and revisit it in a few months

I think the dog meant odens original. @ this point stay away from anything labeled strong sterk or extreme.....

You can't go wrong with Pioneer. Grov and Ettan los are also good. Stay away from anything with the words wintergreen, mint, lakrits, coola or melon on it.

No I really did mean Extreme Regular................I just finished a can................Frosted sent it to me to try a while back.............but damn if I do not see it for sale anywhere...............it is/was very good............GN help us out here bro!!!!!.....where did the regular portions go??!!

Crap..............OK.......substitute Old Viking Ginger....................it is fantastic as well

And to BB's point..................don't start with starks unless you were a heavy smoker and are fighting cravings

OK............I went back and dug my empty tin out of the collection (I keep one tin for each type I have tried).

It says Oden's Original portions..............but what threw me is that it was in a GN hockey puck can..............not the Gajane Odens can...................and it did not taste like the Gajane make....................it tasted like the GN blend

and while we are at it.............see............this is exactly why I use los..............anytime a tampon is involved.........IN ANYTHING...........sh*t gets all confused...........

Anyway it is fantastic snus and well worth a try
