    best or popular los

Sorry guys tried searching to see what I could find but los is to short to be included in searches lol.

whats a good or popular los to try out?

I come from wintergreen Copenhagen and long cut

I want to throw the dip away and find a snus that I will fall in love with.

    any suggestions?

    Welcome!

Check out the dipper's guide to snus in the tips and tricks section. Great info that Snusdog started with lots of insight.

My favorite los at the moment is Odens Extreme......and it will be for the foreseeable future.

Odens Extreme lös, Skruf Extra Stark lös. Those are both obviously strong, but the two best in my opinion. Grov lös is awesome for regular strength pure tobacco flavor with the classic saltiness of traditional Swedish snus. For the beginning handbaker, the easiest to handle (keep together) in my opinion are Skruf, Röda Lacket, and Prima Fint (very mild flavor). The hardest to keep together, but an excellent lös (one of the best) is Gellivare, however without a portioning tool, it is a major challenge to get into your mouth. The quality an flavor are amazing though. Good luck. If you can find a lös sampler box, get it.

          Welcome to SnusOn!

I'm a huge fan of Pioneer. Great taste, and you get more per tin, though the tin is kind of crappy. I use lös almost 100% of the time. Here's my top 5 that are still on the market. I also second the Oden's Extreme for flavor, but it's too strong for me, and therefore not on my list. It is a must try though. You might not be as sensitive to the nicotine as I am.

          Pioneer
          Gotland Grå
          Ettan
          Offroad Licorice
          General

I didn't list the Gellivare products, as they're currently AWOL, and I'm not sure they'll be back

Awesome guys! Excited to place my first los order!

I currently have some portions from a local tobacco store that had snus. Its a general sample pack and some thunder frost. The portions just dont do it for me as far as the "dip" feeling. I never liked pouches when dipping either always made me think of having sex with a condom on haha

I know los isn't ment to lip it but I'm sure thats what I'll be doing to help cure the "dip" feeling.

I lower deck los on occasion with no ill effects. It acts more like fine cut and can be a real mess if you forget it isn't dip.

I like the grind of Gellivare for this best...or at least a coarser grind snus...

If I'm going to use it in the lower lip, I find that I have the best luck making a rather big prilla and then throwing it in there and letting it spread on it's own. For some reason, I only do this with stronger tasting 8mg stuff (too much snus in there for sterks - I'm probably using 2.5-3 grams). Really only do it when I'm all alone and doing something long and tedious, like cutting grass and such. I do find it enjoyable, and I do spit. My favorite for the lower deck? Probably Knox...

Here's what I'm gonna order for my first los order thoughts? comments?

                    Ettan, Loose
                    General, Loose
                    Odens Original Classic, Loose
                    Offroad Original, Loose
                    Offroad, Wintergreen Long Cut

Mainly because thats what getsnus.com has and their shipping is lower than buysnus, I would have liked to get a skruf too but since its all greek to me I wont know until I start getting some in

Looks pretty nice to me...I might suggest Grov since you're used to American dip...Ettan/General etc are cut pretty fine (in relation to American Dip), Grov is a lot more like Cope Snuff's consistency...actually tastes a lot like a mild Cope, IMO...

I would (and do) use all of those happily, except the Offroad stuff. I'm really not a huge fan of V2 products, although I do enjoy Thunder on occasion.

                        Grov added to the mix.

Was reading some reviews on the offroad as well. Seems like mixed reviews on liking it or not oh well dont know until I try it I guess lol

How do you guys normally have your stuff shipped? If I go ground I'm looking at like a week lead time being in AZ. Will it dry out in that time frame not being refrigerated?

I would also add General Ekstra Sterk to that mix. If you are a dipper, you will want the extra nicotine as it is absorbed slower with snus but will last longer.

I generally use buysnus.com these days with UPS shipping. They have what is called the "6th Roll Concept" where you get your 6th roll for 50% off. Combine that with no tobacco tax (at order, but you could be billed by your state or customs) and the deal there is usually the best on the net. I recommend making a couple of mock orders at different retailers to get an idea of the total cost and then go from there.

Your snus will not dry out in a week during shipping. Throw all of your excess in a ziploc bag and put in in the freezer until you are ready to use. Most members report using snus that is over a year past the expiration date without any problems as long as it has remained frozen. Just make sure you don't order any out of stock items as that will significantly delay your order in some cases.

Welcome to Snuson, you will enjoy your journey away from more dangerous sources of nicotine here.

Have you looked at this? As much as I hate Northerner, I might be tempted to buy a can or two of the ones on your list, and then maybe two of this deal...Northerner's "Soon to Expire Los Snus Deal. With this deal, combined with their current free shipping offer, you can get 20 cans for $28.70!

That way, you get to taste some snus you might never have tried. Peel off the stupid labels, freeze those puppies, and roll!
