Finally found what works!
Hi all. I smoked for 35 years at a pack and a half a day. I quit in January using an e-cig, and it worked for a while. After a couple months I woke up and just seriously craved a smoke! I didn't have one, but was going nuts wondering where this new craving came from, never mind being miserable and depressed, just like when I used to go cold turkey.
I started some research through another forum and learned a bunch about MAOI's, and someone there mentioned snus. Now I can't, with my schedule, wait around for the UPS guy to show up so I can sign for a package, my work schedule will not allow that. So I did the next best thing yesterday. I picked up some Camel Snus (I know, they're crap and yes, I hate giving money to frickin' RJR) and popped one in my lip. Within minutes, that warm feeling that all was O.K. with the world came over me, and I knew I'd found the answer! Between the vaping (yes, I do enjoy it and do not plan to stop) and snus I truly believe smoking is now entirely behind me!
I went to General's site and found a tobacco shop nearby that at least once sold General snus, and am hoping they still do. Maybe others also. I'm calling tomorrow to find out, and if they do I'm getting some on Tuesday (the only time I can get there). Like I said, there is really no way for me to order them on line, as who knows when I can get to UPS to pick them up! I can almost guarentee I won't be there when they deliver...Hopefully this shop, or someone near me, has them or can get them for me.
If not, I will continue with the Camel Snus, crap or not, rather than go back to smoking! I've never felt so good physically, and if I can stave off that depression I get from missing those MAOI's, it'll definatelly be worth giving some hard earned cash to RJR, much as I hate to!
Hope to learn a bunch here, and have been lurking for a bit and am looking forward to getting involved with some of the back and forth fun banter that seems to go on fairly regularly. Heck, if it ain't fun, it ain't worth doing!
