I love the witty and clever social criticism of The Simpsons, but it's just not as good as it used to be. Kind of like Saturday Night Live. Ok, I wouldn't take it that far. Nothing is as bad as today's SNL!

I am sure that I have heard homer talk more then my real father. I literally grew up watching the Simpsons and still do to this day.

It is. It will have all the bonus features that seasons 1-12 have. Season 20 was just a cash grab from FOX. I just ordered Season 20 from Amazon for 18 bucks. I refuse to pay full price for that half assed box set. I enjoyed Season 20 though, so it's worth it for 20 bucks. I'll rebuy it when they release it with all the extras in a few years. I agree, The Simpsons are not as good as the "golden era", Seasons 2-9, but they still got it! And the last two seasons have been better then the last 10.

I agree. You just know they'll release some special collector's editions or something in the future, it's too much of a cash cow not to. I grew up watching the Simpsons, ever since I was a kid when they were just sketches on the Tracy Ullman Show, and I still watch it today. Yeah, I watched Tracy Ullman as a kid, I guess that's kind of weird. Anyone remember the "black Bart" t-shirts that were popular back in the late 80's?

I prefer South Park, but I still like the Simpsons, but don't watch it like I used to. I find myself watching Family Guy alot, not a big fan, just seems to always be on, and I like it enough. Same with King of the Hill.

I tried to like South Park, but it just got old to me. Even Family Guy. It's just not witty at all. I watched the Tracy Ullman shorts as well, and yea I remember all of the bootlegged Simpsons shirts!

EDIT: Family Guy is not witty, South Park is allright.

Good to know. I held off buying season 20 and will still probably wait until it gets a proper release. That and i like getting the seasons in order.

There has been a marked decline in quality, but it's still one of the best (cartoons) shows on right now IMO. I love south park but have a love hate thing with family guy. It's not an intelligent or clever show by any means, but sometimes the stupidity is funny.

Back to the simpsons, i'm glad they are starting proper sets again. This has been one of my favorite shows since i was a kid. Very fond memories everytime i watch an episode.
