      That's cold.

Yeah, we need Ron Paul for 2012, unless Nibiru hits.

Honestly, I'd like to see the Tea Party rise so that it inspires a liberal counterpart to break this "alleged" two party rule over the US. As my psychology professor put it, "The Democrats and Republicans do the same exact thing, but in different ways. The Democrats waste money in welfare project, the Republicans give it to their rich friends through contracts. The Democrats want to restrict your right to own a gun or have a gas guzzling car, the Republicans want to restrict your right to get married if you're homosexual or to have an abortion. It's the same deal either way, just a choice of which way you're more comfortable being screwed by." I think a strong Tea Party and a liberal counterpart are about the only way we're going to see the end of pork-barrel spending and lobbyists. I don't think there are two things that piss me off more than pet projects of senators/representatives and "donations" from lobbyists/special interests groups. Both parties are up to their eyes in each of them.

I totally agree about the similarities but I don't know about having a tea part and a strong left version of the tea party etc. The t-party represents a HARD right view on things, a fringe compared to other republicans (they look like rhinos compared ot the t-party), so likely a left version of the t-party would look like the radicals at code pink or something. I don't like the dems/reps but I don't think left/right extremists would fix the part problem but rather further devide us. We need someone who is centered because mos tamericans are centered.

Why can't we let gay dudes poke themselves in peace, and make sure welfare is available to those truly in need it, but also be fiscally responsible and drug test welfare recipients or establish solid time limits for it so as not to encourage living off the state, why not allow abortion but discontinue late term and partial birth abortion, why not balance the budget, but instead of cutting schools and cops end the wars instead, and lets not worry about taking everyones rights away via the patriot act in order to fight terror, lets instead work on creating a comprehensive immegration reform and then sealing up the broders (the true national security threat).

I mean it shouldn't be that hard to work together so everyone is adequately represented.
