4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser. The "Original Eau De Cologne" that started it all.

I don't use it as a perfume, but as as a wound-healing aid, which is what the stuff originally was invented for in the time of the Napoleonic wars. It works magically in that regard. If you ever have an itchy wound that doesn't seem to heal, pour a little 4711 on it and the wound is gone in 2 or 3 days.

Later on someone had the idea to sell it as a perfume, which worked for more than 150 years, but nowadays it's considered an "old folks smell" and the company doesn't do too well. Smell-wise, 4711 is pretty spicy. The recipe has Italian roots and contains bergamot, like many snus-brands.

    Cheers!

I can smell you wearers from here. Stop using that garbage! Just take a shower and be done with it.

            I buy unscented deodorant.
Cologne was never meant to hide any scent and there is nothing more disgusting than the smell of cologne and sweat.

Personally I find poor hygiene revolting and I shower twice a day - morning and after gym. I also use a unscented deodorant to combat smelly pits.

The choice to use cologne is based on an enjoyment of the fragrances and I will bet you a $100 that you would not be able to smell my cologne unless you come very very close to me. Cologne is supposed to be subtle. Cheap cologne smells like cheap cologne and clings to your nose and permeates the air. All the crap in it is probably what gives you a headache as well. I guess what I am saying is that you are making a sweeping generalisation based on what I consider to be a faulty premise.

My husband, very occasionally, will put 1 spritz of cologne on and when he does, he is more than likely to get attention from me. I love the subtle scent of Lacoste on him, it drives me crazy! In a good way. He wears cologne how I wear perfume, just 1 spray, I don't like to be the center of attention because of how I smell, good or bad! hahaha!

If it smells like cologne, leave it alone...

If it smells like fish, have a dish...
