Danielan, I AM A REAL designer. You know not all design is for the web. Hand coding is oldschool yes, it works yes, but it is so limited to just web layout. I use text edit with xhtml, css and dreamweaver. Photoshop has a lot of new options for building web within a .psd doc as well. I mainly work in print, broadcast, ci and production. so before you talk shit. KNOW YOUR STUFF.

I think you must have misread what I wrote. Here it is again:

If you were a real graphic designer you wouldn't need a mac, you'd hand code your images with vi.

1. No one hand codes images with vi (although, I suppose you could do so with SVG) - this is an absurdity. The use of absurdities is a common element of humor.
2. Images != HTML
3. The smiley is universally used to indicate humor.
4. The "Real _________s use ________" is a common, humorous Internet meme.

I am at work right now, and I may be a little touchy because I deal with a lot of pre madonna designers who don't know shit. We don't get alot of respect as designers, but thats a whole different story. Again sorry for the hostility :{)

I second that!

I have been a graphic designer for 14 years and no matter where you work people believe you have somekind of magic design button on your keyboard which kicks out workflow.

Started with Mac and now switched to the Dark Side. Work as a photographer also so I need to budget my gear and Macs are simply overpriced for my budget. Running CS2 currently on a dell with no problems and waiting for Cs5 upgrade this summer.

Thanks everyone about your kind words about interview. That part went fine but looks as if hiring company wasn't interested. Whatever, at least I spoke to my first person face to face in 8 months. Suppose it can only get better form here.
