I like it. It'll take a little adjustment, but overall it's just natural progression. It looks similar to most of the boards I frequent, so no major culture shock here.

Will definately take some getting used to, but so far its pretty cool.

Smilies selection sucks balls though. Are the ones underneath where you write all we get? No laughing smilie?

Owens go to your "settings" (at the very top of the page next to "my profile") click "settings" and then on the ensuing page choose the best editor (rather than the standard default setting). It makes posting much easier from the quick post box (rather than having to go into the advanced reply) and will give you the smiley options

Yeah, I did that, I just thought with the new board we would have a better selection of smilies, at least some animated ones. Still dont see the missing laughing smilie. The only ones I see are the seven or so at the right of the post box, which are the same ones in the drop down menu...


Also, I like that we can now "unsubscribe" to old threads, but it looks like we lost all the ones we were subscribed to?

And what is the "points" under our name?

The points is something they are trying out. They are considering adding some kind of awards system based on points, but have to see how it works out first. You get 10 points for each post, so me and Dogg (and others) spent the first hour or so of the new forum launch to just post multiple replies speaking only 1 word per post.


The smileys options suck but you can always use your own, you just have to get the code from another site and past eit in (which sucks).



I personally love the new format, and I think it has a lot of cool new features. Also, why do we still not have a "strikethrough" font format option yet? I can do so many creative things with it but it is still absent!

wOOt! Just noticed we can preview a thread by hovering over it, one thing I hated about the old SnusOn, is that it lacked this feature. Kinda lets you decide if the topic is worth clicking on or not...

Same firmware used on another forum I'd been a member of. Much better then the previous firmware IMO.

What impresses me most is the apparently successful switch and movement to the new firmware. Good job to those responsible!
