And, pretty much what lxskllr said. It probably would not come up on a work filter or a proxy. But it doesn't really have to. I have my own office, so it isn't a big threat for me personally, I hope. But it wasn't about me. If someone is in a cubicle farm, it could be a big issue. Seen it happen, guys.

Had Lazer simply posted a link, I would not have raised an issue.

Had Lazer thrown a 'NSFW' and then left ample space before the image, I would not have raised an issue.

Just a little more forethought and common sense, fellas, that's really all I'm asking.

Here's the thing, are we gonna stop being who we are for those who don't have enough discretion to look around before they decide to steal their employers time. If we are then let everybody know before we start piling on members who didn't know the difference.

Saying that people should 'assume' that something is NSFW, or that they are 'stealing their employer's time' by reading a site at work, is awfully presumptuous in my opinion.

Could it be OK, if we don't use guns & tits images anywhere else than "People and World around us" area? Then we know that snus related discussions are always clean, easy to read at work etc. and still we have whole huge area for the fun. Lazer, what do you think, could this work for you? And others as well?

I would totally be supportive of that, Ice. And in fact, I avoid the 'People and World Around Us' forum at work *precisely because* I know that some of the racier things people post go there.

As it happened, I only checked it out yesterday at work to see what was going on with this particular thread. :wink:

That was a great post ice, and cleared up any questions I may have had as to your personal view of the rather "juvenile" nature of some of our posts. Nice work (he posted boobs and guns for those who didn't see it) Funny how a bunch of guys (and a few girls) will distract themselves from serious matters with breasts. And the cop with the gun? Brilliant.

I'm ready to get over all of this and get back to talking about snus and everything else. As soon as ol' sage chimes in on the matter, I think we're good to go. From my standpoint at least. Sage does care a tremendous amount about this place, so I'm sure the past few days in particular have been very hard on him. Give him some time. I think a compromise should work well enough for everybody. Like Ice said, keeping the more controversial stuff in OT isn't too much of a burden. Yea, if you're getting paid to work you technically shouldn't be on SnusOn, but it's therapeutic to screw off every now and again, and if people didn't screw off, the site would die for parts of the world during work hours :^D

Well let me put it this way, If I am on the internet during working hours and my boss didn't sanction it, I am guilty of stealing the companies time. If my boss had sanctioned it and i was perusing the internet and was worried about somebody seeing what I might come across, I'd then be a damn fool to come to snuson. Why you ask, "simple there are always titties bouncing around in this joint." Not just from lazer. So maybe a little forethought on the surfers part is necessary. Just my .02¢ man
