Lol Yah I have a similar problem with xbox live "games on demand". At any given time I probably own every full version game and have most of the demos downloaded. Sigh... if the revolution ever comes at least i'll be able to keep entertained in my bunker playing arcade games I payed way too much for.

Pre-ordering AVP is a good move. I loved AVPII and from the demo of the new game, I already know it's gonna be great. I'll grab it for sure.

Steam is a really good service. I was skeptical at first, but I've been converted. They have great prices and really support small game studios big-time. I really feel sorry for my local brick and mortar shop, but they can't even begin to compete with steam.

Free market at work, if they want to compete, they must provide something different. The days of stores selling 60$ games and 59$ used games will end if we allow it to work itself out. The online industry has a big starting advantage since they don't have to pay rent in a high traffic storefront.

Sucks, but it results in cheaper prices for the consumer which is all I really care about. I don't play computer games anymore but Steam has always been pretty good. As for AVP, I played the demo and was extremely unimpressed. Maybe it's just me.

Been using steam a long long time and it does work well for me.

No need to keep discs around and that sort of thing.

Only drawback I have found is, if your internet goes down for whatever reason you can't play the games you bought through steam.
