Can someone explain to me how on-line multiplayer works on the WII?

It's go this weird Wii chanel thing when you start the game and it seems like there is an option to purchase access to the internet but it doens't sound like multiplayer to me.

Does Wii allow you to play multiplayer on-line?

Ok, to play online, you have to get your friends Friend code, and each game has a different friend code. You you have to trade friend codes to play together. The internet thing your talking about is just an internet browser. It's not like the xbox at all. It's horrid really.

Lol, okay, umm, wtf? So it's not like xbox where I just sign into xboxlive and it starts finding players from a giant server somewhere? I have to actually know the other person who i'm playing with?

That would entail me actually talking to others or having friends. Blast this damn Wii! That defeats the whole purpose of videogames!

Yea, it sucks. No voice chat either. It's hard to talk smack in Smash Bros with no voice chat.

Hey has anyone played Warrio for the WII? I used to like it on gameboy but not sure if the new one is any good.

See, I'm real competitive...my daughter and I get in shouting matches when she jumps on me or leaves me behind. =D

Lol you should see me and my wife. You would think we were 8 all over again. When one person gets both powerups it's like "No let me get that one!!!"

I think it's cool that one played can press "A" and go into a bubble if they are about to fall or something.

That bubble is a life saver! I've played through most of it alone, and there is no safety bubble. I plan on getting all of the Star coins as well. I'm OCD when it comes to video games.
