My order arrived last week, and i've tried each one, and enjoyed them all. Two standouts as of now are the General Onyx and Göteborgs Rapé No2.

I've been looking about trying to decide on my next order for tomorrow, and was wondering how similiar the General Onyx is to General Sterk, does it have a similar flavor? Also, any recommendations for the forthcoming order are appreciated. Going with getsnus.com this time as i've read shipping times are quicker, and i'm a sucker for freebies/surprises (mystery can).

Finished my first full can, General White Portion, loved it.

Edit: Forgot to mention that i'm pretty curious about trying some lös, again, recommendations are welcomed.

I would say Onyx and Gen Sterk are similar, with Onyx being a little more lemony and peppery. The Sterk will feel similar, too, as it is also a white portion (although the black "white" portion of Onyx may be a touch more silky feeling).

I think I prefer the flavor of General Ekstra Sterk slightly above these two; however, it is an original portion, and, well, Ekstra Sterk. They are all three tasty and among my favorites. Other than dry mint minis and wintergreen, General can do no wrong in my eyes, and even the wintergreen is occasionally tolerable. The only one of the General line, I think, that I haven't tried yet is the General Silver. Maybe someday.

Try Grov or Ettan so you can get a taste of a more pure tobacco flavor.

Since you like GR2, you might also enjoy Skruf Tranbar (cranberry).

Roda Lacket would be a good lös to try. Easy to bake and a good flavor with just a touch of fruitiness.

Mystery can was Göteborgs Rapé No 1, very pleased with that since i've been enjoying that. All portions, i am curious about lös, just didn't take 'the leap' this order. Originals and whites of the same brand because i'm still trying to nail down which i like better.

Yah, been here for two years, helping newbies has been my shtick since pretty much day one, using snus for almost three years now.

But you definitely seem to be approaching this all very, very well. You have a lifetime of enjoyment ahead of you.

On behalf of all newbies, i thank you sage. I can't count how many forums i've registered on and gotten nothing but hostility from the members because i was new to the forum/topic of the forum. I've never understood that mentality.

Anyway, i'm as excited about snus as i was when i got into cigars, just seemed like this complete other 'world' out there i was just discovering and had a lot to learn about. I hope to quit smoking cigars as well as cigarettes, i just want to be done with smoking. Although i will maintain the 35 or so i have sitting in my humidor. I love nicotine and am amazingly relieved to have found a much safer way to get it.

Your welcome deadohsky. I am just an old, old hand at online communities, my days date back to the BBS scene pre Web. I know exactly what you speak of, and vowed since my first day here that NO newbie would ever post something, and get no response (what happened to me here my first post in fact). If you watch me carefully, you will see a common thread in my welcome posts. Not only do I make sure a new poster feels welcomed, I post in such a way that ALWAYS invites them to respond. Figure I get a new poster top post several times, they are far more likely to stick around and involve themselves in the forum. That is really all that is necessary to make a forum grow.

My greatest pleasure now is seeing folks who have been here 6 months, a year, helping new newbies out, and I still remember their first posts

Very true. It definitely helps people (myself included) want to stick around when the veterans don't 'look down' on them and have no problem just talking and offering advice. This is the most active i have been on a forum lately to be honest.
