      I had the same experience with coffee when i visited USA last year, I had to order espresso with the coffee and mix them to get some strength....

        And the worst I'd ever had was from Costa Rica. Azuka IIRC. The sugar is roasted with the beans and ground together. Syrupy sickly sweet slop with a nasty burn't flavor. We left the bag out in the lunchroom hoping somebody would steal it. It was stolen numerous time because they'd always bring it back for someone else to regret taking.

        Myself I prefer the super darks,Mayan,Sumatrans...
