No one's going to have heard any of these but, here goes:

    1. The Tiger Lillies.
    2. Death in June.
    3. Triarii.
    4. Arditi.
    5. Der Blutharsch.

Honourable mentions to The Clash, Those Poor Bastards, Nick Cave, Tom Waits and The Ramones!

      whew...top five fav's. That's tough.

      1. Reckless Kelly. Little known band, great texas red dirt, americana music. Listen to cover of "1952 Vincent Black Lightning".
      2. Lynyrd Skynyrd. They're more than redneck anthems.
      3. Metallica. Enough said.
      4. Chris Knight. Great overlooked americana artist. Listen to "Down the River".
      5. Chris LeDoux. THE man. This cowboys hat, haha!

        3. Cro-mags (later stuff sucked)
        4. Suicidal Tendencies
        5. Motorhead (so good, they made the list twice)

          1. DISTURBED!!!!!!!! (David Draiman is God...oh waaa aaa aaaa aaaa!)
          2. Shinedown
          3. Metallica
          4. Nirvana
          5. Kiss

Quickly making their way into those 5 though is Halestorm. She has some amazing vocal cords! Not much into "chick singers", but I'll make an exception for her. Saw them this summer along with Staind/Shinedown/Chevelle and she blew them all away...except for Shinedown

            1. Black Sabbath - the originators.
            2. Dinosaur Jr - J Mascis has the best guitar tone.
            3. Husker Du - I need to figure out how to do umlauts, cause they deserve two.
            4. Iron Maiden - for sheer aesthetics and theatrics.
            5. Pink Floyd - just because they've meant so much to me over the years.

And, yeah, I could do another dozen easily. The Beatles and Nirvana both deserve honorary mention, just for what they did to change the face of popular music. Lennon and Cobain are two of my favorite songwriters.

P.S. Elvis Costello - but I think he's wussed out since he married that Diana Krall chick.

The Ozzman would definately be in the top ten, but not the top 5. I also had to bump slayer down a notch, because I totally forgot about Metallica.

This list is subject to change.

1.)Korn- love every ****ing song they have ever made. I even dig their unplugged gig on mtv.

                  2.) Rammstein

                  3.) Lamb of God

                  4.) Ministry

5.) black label society- Zakk goes a little overboard in the pinch harmonics

Not really in any kind of order but...

                      1.) Koffin Kats
                      2.) Bad Brains
                      3.) Hank III
                      4.) Voodoo Glow Skulls
5.) I can't decide between Screeching Weasel, 88 Fingers Louie, or Pennywise....

I mostly listen to ska/punk/psychobilly/old country (NO Toby Kieth BS)
hard for me to narrow it to five....my list could change day to day...

edit: I might throw Reverend Horton Heat or Mad Sin in there...dammit...just 5?

In no real order, because I can never decide when it comes to music(I'm a fan of all of it generally)

Pantera-I miss these guys. Saw them more times then I care to remember. 'Vulgar Display of Power' is one of the most important metal albums ever. Saw them for the first time at Alrosa Villa in Columbus when they were almost nobody--the same place Dime met his end.

                        Black Sabbath-no explanation necessary

Metallica--I've been over them for 10 years or so, but like everything from the Black Album back.

Pink Floyd-no explanation necessary. Glad David and Roger could stop fighting long enough for one more performance before Rick died.

Iron Maiden--If I had to pick only one band to take with me to the proverbial Desert Island, it would be Maiden.

Arrrg, forgot to add Kittie, so BLS is #6 and Kittie would be my #5.

He is hot duh...should see him up close, hehe. Last time I went to see them was at Hampton Beach Club Casino, I was right up front...made eye contact enough to exchange winks. Maybe he secretly likes slightly older chicks :P

Then the mosh pits started...feet stuck to the floor from the layer of beer, had body parts flying at me from all directions and the hubby blocking them from me, drinks spilled on me, security totally was pwnd and just gave up, couldn't hear for days...it was great  They're one band that I've seen more than once and would gladly go back and see again. 8)

                                Get this--

I've been an Iron Maiden fan since about 1984-1985(this would have been 6th or 7th Grade for me), and yet I've *never* seen Maiden live.

Every time they are in Ohio, I always end up not being able to make it for one reason or another.

                                It's a curse.
