On another thread mention was made of some of your choices in folding knives. This is one of my passions. Tell me what you like, dislike. The variables are as wide as tastes in snus. Are they objects of art or just utility.

Re: Sharp pointed things made of steel
Down where my Dad lives in Tennessee there is a knife maker that made the largest folding knife in the world. though I don't collect knives, they can definitely be art. I used to collect swords.Originally posted by cobrageezerOn another thread mention was made of some of your choices in folding knives. This is one of my passions. Tell me what you like, dislike. is that a BM42? ive wanted one forever. i never will have 150 bones to drop on a balisong though. ive had dozens of folding knives over the years, and a few years ago got a cheap bali off some skeezy knife shack dude, i broke the cheap piece of shit in half, bought a typhoon (a bali you need to put together yourself) and it was missing some of the pieces so i just sent it back. then i bought a couple somewhere else, i dont remember the make but one had some nice bone handles, broke that one too, lost a nut on it and it fell apart and i just tossed it. the one i have right now ive had for a while now with no problems, it has a belt clip on the bite handle and a serrated edge and in its heyday it was pretty sharp. used to cut open blunts with it all the time. it hasnt gotten much use so a lot of pocket lint and dust got on the blade and in some crevices. its a great knife though. and i find most people are easily impressed with some butterfly knife tricks.Originally posted by Cy

I used to have an authentic Hitler Youth Daggar my grandfather got from WW2, but I have no idea what happened to it. It seems to have disappeared when I moved about 10 yrs ago. It might be in a box somewhere, or maybe lost, I don't think I ebayed it, or would have. I did have an East German hat, and a Soviet flask I ebayed a long time ago. I just have not felt the motivation to dig through everything.

Gentlemen, I highly recomend the products of one Ernest Emerson. In my humble opinion the finest production knives on the planet.
