On the Xbox, I've been playing Halo Reach.
On the Wii, I've been playing Mario Kart Wii.
I have yet to try Call of Duty: Black Ops (last CoD I played was #4 [Modern Warfare]). But I did play a little bit of the new GoldenEye 007 online, and it's fun (don't know about the Campaign mode though, I only played the first mission).

Haven't dropped the cash on it yet. Everyone I know has been telling me how bad ass it is, urging me to get it.......this is the first negative review I've seen. Guess I'll wait a while and look into it more before I spend the dough.
I hear there is a new iNFAMOUS coming out, and a new Arkham Asylum, I'll be getting both those. :^P
The older COD games (prior to MW) seemed to have a lot more time and effort put into them. Also one of the bigger reasons I am now an even bigger Bad Company 2 fan is the comparison of online play. In BC2 you can blow up most buildings down to the ground in COD it leaves burn marks and the buildings don't have any effect to them. It just seems to me the guys who are doing the BC2 games are doing it the way COD used to and paying close attention to all the details. But, just my opinion. All the reviews on direct to drive are worse than my review.

Ive been hearing negative reviews. It's like anything, it's awesome graphics and gameplay, but waaaaaaaaaay to short. you beat it in one sitting and then multiplayer gets boring after a while. Nothing new to see here.
Now Fable 3, THAT's where it's at. I wasn't a big fan of the older ones but this new one is awesome. Nice and big and lots to do. Great game.
I like games that take me more than 3 days to beat. Like I just beat Fallout New Vegas and will doo another playthrough, but that took me like 2 weeks. That's worth my 60$, not some crappy 6 level single plyer campaign like COD. I've bought all the other COD's and I don't see any reason to get this new one.
The multiplayer in COD:BO is by far the best COD has put out. There's loads of customization, some really good maps, the server-browser actually worked out of the gate, and (so far) not a lot of hackers. I browse some of the hacking forums now and then just to see what the a-holes are up to, and the early consensus on BlackOps is that Steam will be banning people quicker and more often than in previous games.

I'll probably pick it up eventually. I am not big on multiplayer, so the super short single player campaign 9the highly scripted one, know COD) doesn't do it for me. Multiplayer can be a lot of fun though every now and again, but it's hard to keep up with the people who play it 24/7 and have unlocked all of the cool gear.
What new features are there in COD:BO? I havn't really followed this one too much.
CoD BO campaign is actually good! I know, what a shocker.
Only problem I had was the stuttering, even though I ran everything on max, the stutterings that took place(even with reduced graphics) made the last few missions a living hell.
Haven't tried multiplayer, but the zombies, and the arcade minigames are fun.

I agree, the multiplayer part is plain awesome! But I find that people don't care about teamwork in CoD. They just run around to get killstreaks and win.
Yah I read that too. Not surprising, it's all super scripted. That's the problem, it takes no real skill or strategy. I want a game that can simulate the Iraq experience, but allow you to use tactics and strategy, instead of just following the script. The whole single player campaign is essentially on "rails" as it were, just like the old Time Crisi Games, just you can move around a little.
I really enjoyed the single player campaign from modern warfare, it was outstanding, but again it was too short and had no replay value. I'll wiat till it's not $60.

I used to love the orriginal COD when I had a lot of friends and we could play private games together and use temwork etc, but when it's online with others it ends up just being a free for all, even when using teams. I guess that's the difference with playing with a bunch of soldiers as opposed to playing on a public server with a bunch of 14 year olds, lol.

There's some truth to that, but there's no teamwork built into the game either. At the start of a TDM, you all spawn in the same place so your team can fan out and cover each other. However, as soon as a few people die, the spawn locations start becoming very erratic. Opponents will spawn in your back, making it essentially impossible to play the game tactically. You simply can't take territory, defend it and slowly advance because once you try that, three dudes spawn in an area behind you that you just cleared and take you out.
As a result, the way to "win" in COD: BO is to run around shooting everything that moves. It's a bit disappointing.
